Chapter 46

Kira's POV

"Oh no! Who would do this?!" Kira cried.

"This is so unfair!" Ian said.

People were gathered in front of the house, watching their home burn. Like never before Kira was grateful that Katherine had insisted that they leave the house, despite her resistance to sit in a car, during her father's hearing.

Kira reasoned that the only person who could have done such a thing had to be Fred because he was their current most-known enemy and he was evidently after them.

"What if we were still in the house? Oh, my God! It might have been a different story by now!" Kira sobbed as a jolt of fear passed through her.

"This might have been the handwork of people angry at our father because he took their homes from them," Ian spoke up, gaining Kira's attention. She looked at him with wrinkled brows, and the thought that not only Fred had the power to hurt them, sent more shivers down her back.

"What are we going to do now? This town is obviously not safe for us anymore."
