Elijah's POV

Elijah was walking out of the apartment he had rented for Dylan. It was close to Dylan's school and more comfortable than the small space he had to share with three other boys his age. Elijah had gone to visit him and the place looked uncomfortable to live in.

Dylan was supposed to meet him at the apartment, but he had called to say that he would be late because he had to meet up with his group for a project, so Elijah decided to take a quick walk around the neighborhood for a short time. His phone rang from his pocket, and when he pulled it out he saw "Kira's" name displayed on the screen.

He locked his phone and returned it to his pocket. Today marked the seventh time in five days that he had ignored Kira's call. He did not want to speak to her until Marcus found concrete evidence on her that he would use against her and tell her that he knew all about her plan to betray him.
