Upon reaching the hotel, Alex and Bella stepped out of the car hastily. Alex glanced over at his golden wristwatch, his brows furrowed, before cursing silently. “It’s eight o’clock, Gosh! We are late,”

Bella, who was not concerned about their punctuality looked up, smiling sheepishly at her gown before facing Alex with a grin. “Tell me, how do I look?” She asked excitedly.

“You look pretty as always, and thanks to your effort to make yourself look perfect, we are late,” Alex muttered under his breath.

Bella huffed, “Whatever.”

She walked into the grand lobby of the hotel, and Alex followed. A courteous doorman dressed in a tailored uniform welcomed them with a warm smile as he opened the massive double doors for them that led them further into the hotel.

Bella and Alex reached the ballroom with no delay, as Bella’s hand was clasped around Alex’s elbow.
