“What?!” Alex exclaimed, scuttling to his feet involuntarily as the doctor’s statement rang in his mind.

He paced to and fro in the room, trying to calm himself with what he heard. Immediately he became calm, he hastily turned to the doctor. “It can be treated, right?”

“Yes, sir. It can,” the doctor responded, causing Alex to sigh in relief. He assumed that the condition was without a cure, but after the doctor assured him, he relaxed.

“Although, he will be involved in a daily administration of the antidote by intravenous (IV) infusion.”

“It’s fine. Start it right away,” Alex replied. The doctor shifted his gaze to the female nurse, Mary, then he continued. “Mary will be the one to deal with the daily administration while we hope for a good change in Mr. Rex’s health.”

“That’s great! But next time something important occurs to Mr. Rex, inform me first,” Alex instructed.

“Alright, sir,” the doctor nodded. He sprouted to his feet, bowed his head slightly, then he walked out of the room
