82 | Suspects and the real culprit

Startled by his sudden outburst, Diana grabbed Alex by his arm, faking a smile.

“Hehe... There is no need to argue about this. Fiona was just about to leave,” Diana uttered, intending to calm Alex down.

Instead of being calm, her statement fueled Alex’s anger. He realized that Diana was only trying to calm him so that he won't do anything brutal to Fiona, which meant she feared that Fiona would do something drastic in return.

Instantly, Alex pulled his hand away from Diana then he pointed his fingers at Fiona, almost poking it into her eyes.

“Don’t you dare call her a witch,” Alex uttered, his tone dripping like a threat as it made Fiona frightened a little.

But she couldn't let her guard down, so she sneered, “Diana, is your good-for-nothing husband not aware of my status here? Or do you want me to explain it to him myself?”

“No, he is not aware! I will explain everything to him!” Diana exclaimed, causing Fiona to sprout to her feet and glare at Alex.
