“I thought you left-” Diana muttered, before she hastily covered her face with her hands.

“Gosh, my cheeks are cold!” She exclaimed, not wanting Alex to notice that she had been crying. Meanwhile, Alex knew about it already.

Swiftly, he approached her and folded his arms, “If Dad talks to you that way again, I want you to defend yourself instead of keeping it all to yourself.”

“Huh?” Diana replied, pretending to not hear Alex’s statement since she was scared of separating Alex from Rex with her rumored bad luck.

“It’s not like he is not going to die soon anyways, so at least he should spend time laughing with us now,” Alex mumbled, before sitting next to Diana.

“Or do you think we should move out?” Alex inquired, causing Diana to quickly shook her head.

“No, no! We should spend more time with him since this is the time he needs his family more,” Diana suggested quickly.
