Ryan felt a mix of emotions: anger, shock, and sadness.

He had always thought of his mother as a strong and independent woman, but now he was learning a different side of her.

He wondered if his father had known about the affair and His father probably must have not found out else their relationship would have been a strained relationship.

He would confronted his father with what he had learned if only his father were alive.
