"I'm sorry, Mr. Harvey; I'm sure you've heard the news of my death. I honestly don't know what your relationship with my grandfather is, but I want to emphasize that I am not working here because of him," Kenric replied, trying to remain polite.

"Then what for?" Mr. Harvey got up from his chair and stepped towards Kenric with a stick and a tiger head in his hand.

"I'll tell you the truth. When I had my accident, Baka was the one who helped me. At that time, I immediately offered to help him, and you happened to be waiting for someone to look after Miss Naomi, so I took the initiative to replace Baka's dead foster brother," replied Kenric, who tried to become a shield for Baka.

Mr. Harvey was silent as he listened to Kenric's story.

"If you don't believe me, you can ask my grandfather; it seems you know him very well," Kenric said once again to convince Mr. Harvey.
