Chapter 36

After finishing dinner, Mr. Harold went straight to meet Kenric, who was waiting in his office.

"What letter did you say?" asked Mr. Brayen when he had just entered the room. "Wait, so you've been at your grandfather's place all this time?"

"No, just yesterday I moved into my grandfather's place," Kenric replied as he handed over a brown envelope.

"So it's like that," Mr. Brayen said as he accepted the envelope and then took the letter inside.

He read the letter silently, until finally his forehead began to wrinkle from reading the sentences at the end of the letter.

After finishing reading, Mr. Brayen looked back at Kenric. "Are you serious about this?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm serious," Kenric replied, nodding his head without hesitation.

Meanwhile, Harold and Mrs. Reya, who were eavesdropping near the entrance of Mr. Brayen's study, were annoyed with themselves because they couldn't clearly hear the conversation between the two people in the room.
