CHAPTER SIXTY NINE

Leon was stunned to find Gideon in his living room. He held the bat a little tighter as he saw the murderous intent in the man's eyes. "Master Xavier's decision had nothing to do with me," he said.

Gideon sneered at him, "You're a pathetic liar, you are the one who made him well, that means you foiled my plans and you will have to pay for it."

Leon looked outside, it was still dark and he had a sense of deja vu. The day Billy had broken into his house and tried to convince him to work for some man.

"I'll act like this never happened if you just leave now," he offered him, reaching onto the side shelf and picking up the telephone. Although it wasn't working and hadn't been for a very long time, he was sure that Gideon didn't know that.

"You'll have a hard time making the cops come down to this deserted neighborhood, you know. Not to mention that there's a fire accident downtown and they're all trying to figure out if it's arson or not," he said with a smirk.
