CHAPTER SIXTY ONE

Leon wanted to beat himself up for not believing the master when he said that Brian was indeed after his life. The young man had not just admitted to it but he did so remorselessly.

For a minute, he thought of the poison in his bloodstream. How could an adult be so careless as to ingest the same poison that he'd given to someone else consciously? It didn't make sense but then, Leon had seen a lot of things that didn't make sense and he was coming to terms with the fact that life was just a big field for the sane and insane.

Groaning, Leon tossed the wrap of weed in the nearby trashcan and made his way back to his room. It was dark and he could barely see anything but he couldn't turn on the lights. He didn't want to announce to the entire estate that he was in the room next to the master's.
