Unbelievable. That’s the only word that Sylvie can think of that can perfectly describe the situation. Not only did her ally kill the alpha wolf, he also managed to do it while predicting some of the things that will happen. Yes. The last attack that the dark elf used was actually ordered upon her by Merlin.“At the last stretch of the fight, the Alpha will probably be covered in a field of smoke that I created. There’s a chance that it’ll come out to attack me. Wait for it and counter it with your long-ranged slash.” This is what Merlin said…and it came true. The monster did perform this kind of attack. And after it failed, she watched the demon finish the job by closing the gap between him and the monster. All while condensing a heavy amount of mana on the tip of the staff. All of the demon’s mana to be exact. And without wasting a single second, Merlin blasted the monster with this. The demon would’ve looked perfect in that moment too, if not for the effects of Demon’s Rage ending.
I’m back. I still have no idea where this place is but I’m back. The same white walls. The same hollow feeling…and the same child looking down on me. Taking on a dark silhouette that completely contrasts the place. “You came back early.” This child is talking about stuff I can’t understand again. What does it mean by early? How am I early?“You’re having trouble remembering everything again. Why am I not surprised? That’s so typical for you humans.” The child sighed. As soon as he said this, memories came back to me. A violent rush of it to be exact. Making me remember who I am…and what I became.“YOU!”I was able to finally speak. My voice echoed across the white room. But that’s all that I could do. This child somehow has me in a state where I can’t move. The only thing within my control are my thoughts and my lips. “No need to raise your voice like that. You should be happy you know. I gave you a new life.” The child mused. “It’s not what you wanted but, that should be more th
Merlin and Sylvie arrived at the dungeon a few moments after the three knights have entered the throne room. Everything is already in the state of disarray that the knights have left it in. With flames burning whatever they can find – leaving the earth scorched. There are remnants of a fight that happened recently as well. Evident with the claw marks left on the walls and the pickaxes that are left on areas which Merlin can only assume to be the last resting place of his kobold workers before they died. This surfaced emotions within Merlin. Stuff that he never thought he could ever feel. This whole dungeon is his property. Nobody else has a claim on it other than him. And so, he treats it with the utmost care. The same can be said for his workers. But now all of that is nearly destroyed.Merlin didn’t even hesitate on what he’d do next. He moved as fast as he could, reaching the throne room in a matter of seconds. And without missing a heartbeat; protected the only unit that is still
The fight ended quickly. From Sylvie’s perspective, there wasn’t much of a fight. It was just Merlin bombarding his spell towards the knights. Not the same type of person that she has traveled with inside the dungeon instance. A contrast brought about by the mental state of the demon.“Have you cooled down yet?” She asked as Merlin returned to his normal form. Downing a mana potion to reduce the hp loss.“It just pisses me off.” Merlin replied.“I can’t blame you, I’d be boiling with rage if someone intrudes inside my dungeon as well.”“No. Not that.” Merlin said. He’s angry about something else entirely. Merlin is angry about his own incompetence. He thinks that, if he only planned better and proceeded with a better grasp of the whole situation, this wouldn’t happen. He’s incompetent. Weak. And because of his lack, most of his troops are dead. The only one left is Teach and even this kobold is at death’s doors. Breathing what seems to be its last breaths as the state of the creature
[Azazel Dungeon – Three Days Later]The resurrection of Teach didn’t come without its obstacles. There are a lot but, most of them have already been overcome. There is, however, one last problem that has yet to be solved. That is, Teach hasn’t waken up yet.Ever since the day that he took on his new form, he has remained asleep. In a death like sleep to be exact. That is the state that he is left in. Though Merlin is sure that this servant of his is still alive. Evident by the breathing of Teach’s new body as well as the beating of his heart. All that’s left is for the kobold to wake up. And after three days…this finally happened.Everything started slowly for the kobold. His eyes all the same. These opened even slower than you’d expect them to. As if he’s a newborn. And he might actually be one. After all, this body and form of his is new. The body of a human that has mixed with a kobold and is blessed with the mana of a demon lord.Though there isn’t any visible sign of his demonic
One of the things that happened while Teach is asleep is the construction of the [Coliseum]. A place with multiple benefits for Merlin and for the dungeon in general. Other than the fact that it can be used as a training ground, the place can also serve as a means of entertainment. The monsters can go there and watch fights whenever a tournament is held. A way for Merlin to also assess how strong his units are. That’s why he sped up the construction of this place. Finishing it within the couple of days that Teach has been asleep. And this can only be done with the resummoning of a workforce of course. That’s why there is now a new set of kobolds working for the dungeon as well as the other units that can be useful. Though none of these are present in the coliseum at that specific moment. The only ones in the area are Sylvie, Teach, and the dungeon master, Merlin. The place is located at the right side of the dungeon near the throne room. The place is large enough to house a thousand v
[Genesis City – Present Day]Morgause called everyone to their next meeting. She wanted Elliot to be the one to initiate this actually. But since this person doesn’t seem to have any intention of holding a meeting himself, she decided for him. Another regular morning before they enter into the academy, the group met within the same location they did before. A closed space where they are free to express themselves. Present here are Elliot, Claire, Morgause, Arthur, and the ever so taunting Lazaro. The last one being a presence that they would’ve been all happy to be without. In fact, Morgause herself doesn’t remember ever telling this person about the meeting. And yet there he is. As if he knew all along that something like this would be held. There’s no point in thinking about it too much though. The only thing they have to think about is the current state of things. The progress of what has to be finished and whether or not this progress has actually even happened. “Everyone knows
The following day, Morgause arranged a meeting with the lord of the city – Asther Longsword. The name itself is descriptive of the weapon wielded by this nobility. A longsword – the same weapon wielded by his entire lineage. The king is a tall man. Standing at five-foot-eleven with properly trimmed black hair and a beard that covers the sides of his well-defined jawline. His eyes are black and sharp in their stare and, his body is well built. Something which is attributed to the fact that he still goes out from time to time and does expeditions himself. There is no expedition for him today though. Morgause made sure that this meeting will push through because, it’s through this that she’d be able to show what is happening within the dungeon. The strange events that have caused Gerald and a lot more to go missing. As for the meeting, it is held in an open space. Outside the mansion of Asther to be exact. Within a small garden that is perfect for the elegance of Morgause. With beautiful
