Merlin got back to the elf after sorting through all of the loot. There are tons of things that are worth the time there. Armor, weapon, items and more. The most notable of which is a weapon named:[Ent Staff][Grade: D][Level Requirement: 35][Job Class Requirement: Spellcasting][Intelligence Increase: 100]Intelligence doesn’t refer to actual intelligence but rather the attribute points. This means that Merlin will gain a hundred intelligence points once he uses this weapon. Something which brings a lot of benefit to the table because of the increase in mana that this will also provide.The half-demon isn’t planning on changing his job class. More than anything else, he thinks that sorcery fits him the best. The only reason why he keeps changing weapon from time to time is because he doesn’t have the right spells that will allow him to safely transfer to this fighting style. Furthermore, he doesn’t have the right weaponry itself and also the proper accessories. That’s all change

I remember something…faint.The guards are still there, running towards us. There’s the distant sound of their voices that echoed through the long metal hallway. Only beaten by the sound of the sirens and the steps that we made on this metal floor. More than the fear of getting caught and returning to my cell, the only thing I can think of is the way out. The hole created by the explosion earlier. A few more meters and I’ll be a free man. The color of the wolves’ fur, their size, as well as the movements they’re making – Merlin has it all memorized from the information about Requiem. Sylvie continued taking down the enemies that got in her way. The flashbang has ten more seconds of effectivity and, within this span, she’s able to kill two more wolves. Increasing her kill count to three. As the other monsters finally began to react. Beginning with a long-ranged claw strike made of mana. [Den of Wolves – Present Day]“So, you’re the leader of this pack huh.” Merlin looked at the alpha wolf from head to toe. Black fur covers the entirety of its body, a coat that’s well maintained. Its eyes are razor sharp violet; gazing down on him as if he’s not even worth half of its time. These eyes reflect the mana that is oozing out of the wolf’s body – not out of boasting but because it cannot be contained.Merlin knows this. He has encountered monsters of a similar nature. Those that have too much mana that their bodies cannot contain the entirety of it. Leaving some of it leaking and creating a unique aura for the monsters. The attack that the alpha fired is caused by the charging up that it did. This isn’t just for show. It’s to prepare for the beam that it’s going to fire. But before the monster released it, the alpha first needed to make sure that its enemy’s dodging ability is out of the way. That’s why it released the surge of purple mana through the howl.Other than forcing its enemy to dodge with the use of a skill, the alpha is actually able to locate where its enemy is as well. Caused by the same howl that provides it with a sort of echolocation tool. One which immediately found Merlin which gave the monster the perfect opportunity to fire its beam.The vicious attack covered the entirety of the area where Merlin reappeared. There’s no escaping this. The path that leads to Merlin has been completely covered by the attack. And within this field of smoke, projectiles came flying out.This came in rapid succession. Twenty orbs that carry the color of darkness flew towards the monster. Preventing it

Unbelievable.That’s the only word that Sylvie can think of that can perfectly describe the situation. Not only did her ally kill the alpha wolf, he also managed to do it while predicting some of the things that will happen. Yes. The last attack that the dark elf used was actually ordered upon her by Merlin.“At the last stretch of the fight, the Alpha will probably be covered in a field of smoke that I created. There’s a chance that it’ll come out to attack me. Wait for it and counter it with your long-ranged slash.” This is what Merlin said…and it came true.The monster did perform this kind of attack. And after it failed, she watched the demon finish the job by closing the gap between him and the monster. All while condensing a heavy amount of mana on the tip of the staff. All of the demon’s mana to be exact. And without wasting a single second, Merlin blasted the monster with this.The demon would’ve looked perfect in that moment too, if not for the effects of Demon’s Rage ending.
