[Den of Wolves – Present Day]Sylas slowly got up from the ground. His vision is hazy but he could hear the screams of his allies; too loud to be muffled by the ringing in his ears. He doesn’t care about them though. All he cares about is getting back up because, as soon as he’s back on his feet, then he can return the favor to the elf. Cutting her wrists before cutting her down in half. That’s the plan. But things didn’t go as he planned. Just when he’s about to get back up, he could see Sylvie walking towards him. He recognizes her feet and ankles. There are scars on it that he inflicted. A seeming signature that he’s proud of because, every one of these tells him that he owns the body of his slave as well. Though these same feet are now moving towards him to probably end his life.I’m fucked are the words running through his head. Time seemed to move slower as he felt death closing in. That is until the feet stopped moving.“Huh?”Sylas waited for any slight change. This might be
[Den of Wolves – Present Day]Merlin can remember a lot of things from how the knight talks. This person named Sylas has a striking semblance to how his allies used to call him and refer to him. That’s why he’s also taking great pleasure in watching this whole thing because, there is one thing that Merlin is sure of, Sylvie will win.“You filthy insect!”The fight began in that instant. With Sylas making the first move as he dashed towards his opponent. The speed of which can easily rival the skill that Sylvie used against the priestess.Weapon on hand, the knight swung towards the neck of his target. Deflected right away by the scimitar of Sylvie that seemingly saw the path which the weapon is going to. “Going for the neck huh. That’s so like you.” Sylvie said as the knight backed away from her.As soon as he did, Sylvie appeared right beside him. With a stab following right after, hitting the small opening in between the knight’s armor. Piercing through the chainmail and sinking in
Merlin got back to the elf after sorting through all of the loot. There are tons of things that are worth the time there. Armor, weapon, items and more. The most notable of which is a weapon named:[Ent Staff][Grade: D][Level Requirement: 35][Job Class Requirement: Spellcasting][Intelligence Increase: 100]Intelligence doesn’t refer to actual intelligence but rather the attribute points. This means that Merlin will gain a hundred intelligence points once he uses this weapon. Something which brings a lot of benefit to the table because of the increase in mana that this will also provide. The half-demon isn’t planning on changing his job class. More than anything else, he thinks that sorcery fits him the best. The only reason why he keeps changing weapon from time to time is because he doesn’t have the right spells that will allow him to safely transfer to this fighting style. Furthermore, he doesn’t have the right weaponry itself and also the proper accessories. That’s all change
I remember something…faint. The guards are still there, running towards us. There’s the distant sound of their voices that echoed through the long metal hallway. Only beaten by the sound of the sirens and the steps that we made on this metal floor. More than the fear of getting caught and returning to my cell, the only thing I can think of is the way out. The hole created by the explosion earlier. A few more meters and I’ll be a free man. Just a bit more – before the sound of gunshot came and a bullet pierced through my chest.………There are thirty wolves in total that they need to kill. All of which are pure bred according to Sylvie. Even without her saying this, Merlin knows it to be a fact. The color of the wolves’ fur, their size, as well as the movements they’re making – Merlin has it all memorized from the information about Requiem. And even without being able to see the details about the wolves floating above them, he can somewhat surmise the information.[Creature Name: None
Sylvie continued taking down the enemies that got in her way. The flashbang has ten more seconds of effectivity and, within this span, she’s able to kill two more wolves. Increasing her kill count to three. As the other monsters finally began to react. Beginning with a long-ranged claw strike made of mana. A projectile that she had no other choice but to dodge.“You guys react fast huh.” Sylvie commented as this is followed by three more attacks of a similar nature. She dodged all of these. Making use of the second part of her [Wind Dancer] skill called [Backwind].[Information: When the wind is pushing against the direction of the user, evasion will be increased by thirty percent. All attacks that come within a ten-meter radius will slow down a bit.]With this being utilized, Sylvie is able to remain safe. Not for long though as the attacks continued on. With two more wolves dashing towards her at high speed. But she already saw this coming from a mile away. Making her plunge her sap
“Ah this is a bit anticlimactic.”There’s a voice that I can hear. Not anything familiar to me. It isn’t the voice of a prison guard. I know how every one of those bastards’ sound like. Including their laughs – especially their laughs.“You’re not even going to fit the frame that you’re supposed to take. I mean, you’d still give it life but I doubt you’d ever be conscious about it.”Now that my consciousness is becoming clearer, I can recognize that this is a child’s voice. A child is saying things I don’t understand. What, where am I even?“I was contemplating about this before you know. About whether or not I should turn some of you into monsters and all of that. But then I figured, it’d be a waste not to do so.”Even my sight is vaguely coming back. There’s not much to see though. Only the silhouette of the child and white. A place that’s filled with white. Nothing else but the shade of it.“Oh my.”The child looked at me.“Seems like you’re conscious. You might be a bit special af
[Genesis City – Present Day]Days inside the dungeon instance move at a slightly slower speed compared to the outside world. Because of this, the three days that Merlin already spent inside the place has already consumed four in the real world. Meaning, there are things that are moving outside as well. Specifically, the ones connected to his former allies and their plot against him.“Good. You finally came.” Elliot stood in front of the city gates. He’s been waiting there for a good thirty minutes. One of the guards, which he already bribed and bought to be his personal informant, came to him earlier. Telling him that three individuals donning armor from his kingdom are approaching the city. That’s why he made haste to go there immediately. Brows furrowed and all because of how late the knights are. They were supposed to arrive yesterday and so he waited for them that very day. One which was consumed without anything good to show for. From morning up until the afternoon and reaching n
[Den of Wolves – Present Day]“So, you’re the leader of this pack huh.” Merlin looked at the alpha wolf from head to toe. Black fur covers the entirety of its body, a coat that’s well maintained. Its eyes are razor sharp violet; gazing down on him as if he’s not even worth half of its time. These eyes reflect the mana that is oozing out of the wolf’s body – not out of boasting but because it cannot be contained.Merlin knows this. He has encountered monsters of a similar nature. Those that have too much mana that their bodies cannot contain the entirety of it. Leaving some of it leaking and creating a unique aura for the monsters. And what this means for the current fight is that, the half-demon is in for a lot of trouble.“AWOOOOOO!”Just the howl from the monster is enough to make Merlin instinctively step back. This doesn’t mean that he’s a coward. It just means that he knows how much of a bad news this enemy is. This is the very reason why he needed the dark elf to come along wit
