Sylvie already knew trouble is brewing even before Pietro’s group entered the dungeon. As a dark elf, she has a certain connection to any plant that she touches. And as long as she is in a certain proximate range from any of these plants, she will get a notification once anything happens to them. This might seem incredible but all it really does is tell her if one of these plants died. That’s all and, this is the very same reason why Sylvie has always seen it as a useless skill. It doesn’t seem to bring anything to the table. Just a cheap party trick that she can brag about whenever she faces non-elves. But Merlin taught her the true value of this. Something which happened a day before Asther and the adventurers launched their attack.[Azazel Dungeon – Sylvie’s Garden]“So, this whole place is going to be mine huh.” Sylvie took a look around the entirety of the place. It is a vast area within the dungeon that comprises two rooms. One being the place where the garden will be raised a
There are a couple of things that Sylvie made use of in order to get an advantage early on. First are the plants. Using the radar that’s now enhanced, she’s able to pick up that there are individuals outside the dungeon. Smart ones to be exact as they’re able to pick up the trap that she and Merlin left behind. After they closed and sealed the trap, Sylvie even added an extra layer of concealment in order to further enhance the shrouding. However, this is still not enough to fool the new enemies. Ones which even destroyed the trap altogether which Sylvie is also notified of as well. That’s why she immediately mobilized everyone. The three banshees for a stronger illusion and Teach who will act as support fire. The dark elf already knows that there will be trouble. And though she isn’t exactly sure how much trouble this would be, it’s better to be overprepared for stuff like these than to be caught off guard by the opponents. That’s why she’s able to win in the first exchange. With th
Pietro and the others watched the fight unfold from a safe distance. Right inside the barrier that has yet to be broken. Nor does it look like it will be broken anytime soon as well. Pietro believes this entirely and, is calmly watching the fight in front of them that’s about to unfold. One which only involves the boss monster of the dungeon and, their party member Killian. Though one of them seem to disagree with this decision.“What are you thinking?” Kulxa grabbed Pietro by the collar, almost lifting him up if not for the man’s own force stopping him. “Why would you send him alone?”“So you don’t want him dead?” Pietro asked.“Oh he’s the first that I want dead.” Kulxa said as she let go of their leader. “But that doesn’t mean I’ll just send him to his death when he’s still useful.”“Relax. He’s not going to die.” Pietro stated.“What makes you say that?” Syx asked.“Just a gut feeling.” Pietro said as he drew his attention back towards the fight. The enemy is dispersing spears out
“Man…”Sylvie watched as Killian lowered his daggers. Not as a form of acting so he can launch a surprise attack. Nor is it any kind of misdirection on his part. He’s just doing so because of a thought that the dark elf can read in the human’s head – disappointment.“What is it?” Pietro asked. “Are you feeling sorry for her?”“Huh?” Killian’s eyes squinted. As if the most atrocious thing has been suggested to him. “Why would I feel sorry for my prey?”“Then what’s bothering you?” The dark elf is a bit annoyed by the fact that her opponents aren’t even paying attention to her. And this just shows how true the gap in their strength is. Because if Sylvie can feel it, then these humans would definitely be able to do so as well. Her opponents have gauged her skill. To be more precise, the leader of the group, the one holding the spear, has done this.Though this isn’t a bad thing at all. Far from it, this will be useful later on in the fight. That is, assuming that the fight would even la
Sylvie and Teach can feel an ominous air inside the blue space. They aren’t drowned but, for some reason, they can feel their bodies being drenched in water as well. A feeling that also brought a seeming cold that wrapped them in their entirety. The same cold that one would feel when dipping in the ocean when the sun is about to set.“I’d love to give you an explanation on what this whole place is and what it’s capable of but, I’m afraid that you might suddenly attack me mid-sentence.”Teach threw a mana infused spear towards the enemy. Pietro dodged this with ease but, it is then followed by more spears that shot from the ground. An attack that missed its mark due to a protective barrier that suddenly appeared around the pirate. But that’s just the beginning of the attack.Sylvie is already mid-air, both her blades completely charged. And she released both in full swing. Maximizing the amount of mana placed in the weapons that collided with the barrier. Enough to finally break it…th
[System Update Finished.][The new features are now integrated.][Consciousness is being returned to the New World.]………Sylvie waited for death to meet her. She waited for everything to end with the final strike of her opponent. She does not know what lies beyond death nor if there is actually anything beyond it. But she does not care to think about bit anymore and, it’s probably good that she didn’t because, at that moment, Merlin arrived. It isn’t a dream. Nor is it a hallucination. A dream wouldn’t have blocked the attack of Pietro and sent the mana from this blow flying up the ceiling. Nor will a dream make her feel the mana emanating from the demon. A miasmic mana that she has felt ever since Merlin was sleeping. A powerful dark mana that has continued to grow and, is now showing its completion.A black armor covers the entirety of Merlin’s body. Not a heavy set of equipment but a seemingly light one. With the edges and some of the design being filled by a glowing green mana.
Merlin watched as Sylvie slowly woke up from her sleep. She groaned a lot while he healed her and, now that its finished, she groans even more still. Not that he’s complaining though. The dark elf has every right to do so with how much she’s been hurt because of the fight. Her face isn’t bruised that much though, the only thing that he had trouble healing through are the holes created by the multiple spear stabs. But even this is only a slight problem for him. After the incident with Teach, Merlin told his kobolds to build the next necessary facility. A healing center within the dungeon. This is prioritized and, because of this, the facility has finished construction right away. Allowing the use of it in that specific moment.Even if this place is called as such, there’s not much inside of it. There are a couple of beds and, on these are the mana crystals that are specialized for bringing comfort to those lying on them. There are also mana crystals that aid in the regeneration proces
I’m pissed.I got scolded by my father again. The third time that it’s happened this month. And it’s not even my fault! It’s the fault of those useless players that he paired with me. That’s the only reason I’d lose to the likes of Merlin. If only they can block all of his spells, then I’d be able to hit him from a safe distance using my own sorcery. That’s right! I use magic as well. But not the same as this mediocre person who claims to be the strongest. He’s not even anywhere near how powerful I am! He knows it as well – that he can never reach the same level as me.I know that because he told me once to quit imbuing magic into my archery. He told me that it’s a waste because my skill combination is stupid. As well as the pairing of my first and secondary job class. I beat him up because of it of course. I put him in the training room and gave him a dose of kobold blood. Enough to leave him gasping for breath. Enough to make him put his hand on his chest, gripping on to it so hard
