I am Kelzio. For the longest time, I’ve been one of the few that has gone unnoticed within Avalon. Though Merlin plays a large part in this, part of it is also caused by the fact that my allies naturally outshine me. They paid more than what my parents could afford in the game and, as such, I have been granted one of the lesser job classes. The highest rank nonetheless but, still, a lesser job class.I was a gunman in the game. You’d think that this is actually a good job class because of the weapon that’s superior to others in the real world. But in the game, there are other variables considered within this job class. Accuracy, reload speed, piercing, number of bullets and many more.Due to the numerous constraints of my job class, I wasn’t able to get a lot stronger. I didn’t need to since we have Merlin doing everything for us. All the fighting is dealt with by that monstrous excuse for a human. But that didn’t stop me from trying to get stronger. An attempt that failed until my l
“Are you done?” Philein asked, walking towards Kel and Laz after an hour.“Yes. Sorry for the wait.” Kel said as he bowed his head. After telling the part about his alliance with Philein, Kelzio gave a quick rundown on how he escaped the capital. How he is given a body double by Philein which can be used to substitute him to a lifeless form of his body while the real one gets teleported back to base. Using this, Kelzio escaped the city while leaving behind enough evidence for everyone to agree that he’s dead.Of course the story aligns with Lazaro who is granted the same item. The [Demon Core] resides within his body as much as it does within Kelzio. That’s why both of them are forced into servitude under a master whom neither of them has seen face to face yet.“Good. Then we can move to the strategy.” Philein said, snapping his fingers and creating a large map in the middle of the three.Since they are in a remote and abandoned village, they don’t have any need to be wary of being se
Everything looks like a scene from a nightmare. Monsters continued pouring through the crack of dark mana in the middle of the city. Gargoyles. Goblins. Imps. Kobolds. Ogres. Orcs. Even lesser dragons and hounds. Creating a strong enough tremor on the ground just from their movements that went with haste as they aimed at killing the nearest humans they can find.“HELP ME!”“GET BACKUP!”“MY SON!”“NOOOO!”Screams of humans quickly filled the air and with it is the blood and flesh that’s spilled. Eaten by the monsters that continued ravaging through the city of Raksha. The males being more fortunate as they are given swift deaths while the females are sometimes raped by the goblins. Ganged up on and forced into an act of vile and gut-wrenching intercourse.“Dammit!” Raksha ran down his balcony as quickly as he could. There are various preventive measures set up within the city of course. It’s not like Kraken is defenseless. The only problem is that most of these defenses are made to p
“You must have quite the good eyesight if you saw me through the smoke.” Philein said as he got shot at right away.Raksha released three bullets in rapid succession. With magic circles appearing on Philein’s forehead, heart, and throat. All of which failed to get hit as a barrier stopped the Pirate King’s attack. In return, five of the goblins rushed to attack the king who raised a wall made of water that prevented them from getting closer.Raksha doesn’t plan on talking with Philein. If he can end the fight right away, that would be good for him. He doesn’t care about dialogues and fair play. He’s a pirate of the worst kind – all he cares about are the results. That’s the only thing that matters.“Really? Right off the bat?” Philein asked in a tone of disbelief. Referring to the bullets that missed.Again, the pirate king didn’t make a response. Instead he casted a fire spell that hit the wall of water. Creating hot steam that blew towards Philein and the monsters in the front. Hot
Philein watched as the city burned to the ground. The cries of helpless humans filled the air. Mixed with the dimmer tune of those that are trying to fight their destiny – their death. There are pirates who are fighting back and holding out against the summoned monsters. There are mercenaries and adventurers doing the same thing as well. But all of these serves to do nothing more than delay the inevitable. They will still die. They will still get killed by the waves of monsters that seemingly has no end. They will still go through the pain and suffering of getting killed but, if they’re lucky, they might get killed quicker. With a stab to the heart or their heads getting torn off. Both of which are better options compared to the other forms of death that are ruthless to say the least.Blood fills the streets and it splatters as it paints the walls as well. The scent lingering in the air is that of human flesh that’s rotting and their insides that have been pulled out. The tremors of t
[Azazel Dungeon]Teach continued taking care of the dungeon. More than fifteen days has now passed and Merlin is yet to wake up from his hibernation. A lot of things happened during his lord’s absence but, none of which are enough to cause great trouble for the domain itself. There are kobolds who still slack off from time to time. But compared to when he first started dealing with them, the kobolds have learned to do better. Hence making the overall productivity that much more effective as well. With the kobolds being on the move during peak hours.Teach doesn’t focus on them that much anymore though. Not because he’s doing so on purpose but, because he just can’t seem to focus. All because of the very same reason that he’s taking care of the dungeon in the first place. Because Merlin the Demon Lord is in the middle of his hibernation. This caused Teach to have days when he can’t think straight. There are some errors that he made in managing as well. Though minor, he finds these as a
Philein passed through the portal, returning him to the domain of his master. A place that felt hostile towards him all of a sudden as the weight of his own body seemingly increased. Philein dropped down to his knees and it felt like all his bones and muscles are beginning to get crushed in that instant. His lungs are just the same, with the air within it suddenly feeling“I hope there’s a good explanation why you’re alone Philein.” His master said. This person is seated on a throne right in front of Philein. A poorly lit area that dimly shows the parts of the black armor of his master and the long black hair that this person has as well.“I left the two of them master.” Philein said in reply. He would lie to this person if he could but, unfortunately, that isn’t an option. His master isn’t a person that can be easily deceived. In fact, he doesn’t even think that this person can be deceived at all. One small lie would cost him his life and he does not like that kind of gamble at all.
World’s end. That’s what it felt like for both Lazaro and Kelzio as they stood and watched everything from a safe distance. They don’t know why but a black barrier suddenly appeared in front of them. Protecting them from what came next. The entirety of the city is caught by a violent and powerful blast of dark mana which rained down destruction on the city. This didn’t happen right away. The destruction came about quickly but there’s enough time to see everyone dying from it and, after the twenty second span of this spell, it finally came to a halt. All of a sudden the loudness disappeared completely. All that’s left is the silence and the stillness that felt foreign. As if these aren’t supposed to be present because of the sight that lay in front of these two. All the corpses of the fallen that’s burned from the spell. The rubble that’s left behind and the atmosphere of death that’s still lingering about. These are enough to unnerve the two. Making them fall to their knees due to th
