Philein passed through the portal, returning him to the domain of his master. A place that felt hostile towards him all of a sudden as the weight of his own body seemingly increased. Philein dropped down to his knees and it felt like all his bones and muscles are beginning to get crushed in that instant. His lungs are just the same, with the air within it suddenly feeling“I hope there’s a good explanation why you’re alone Philein.” His master said. This person is seated on a throne right in front of Philein. A poorly lit area that dimly shows the parts of the black armor of his master and the long black hair that this person has as well.“I left the two of them master.” Philein said in reply. He would lie to this person if he could but, unfortunately, that isn’t an option. His master isn’t a person that can be easily deceived. In fact, he doesn’t even think that this person can be deceived at all. One small lie would cost him his life and he does not like that kind of gamble at all.
World’s end. That’s what it felt like for both Lazaro and Kelzio as they stood and watched everything from a safe distance. They don’t know why but a black barrier suddenly appeared in front of them. Protecting them from what came next. The entirety of the city is caught by a violent and powerful blast of dark mana which rained down destruction on the city. This didn’t happen right away. The destruction came about quickly but there’s enough time to see everyone dying from it and, after the twenty second span of this spell, it finally came to a halt. All of a sudden the loudness disappeared completely. All that’s left is the silence and the stillness that felt foreign. As if these aren’t supposed to be present because of the sight that lay in front of these two. All the corpses of the fallen that’s burned from the spell. The rubble that’s left behind and the atmosphere of death that’s still lingering about. These are enough to unnerve the two. Making them fall to their knees due to th
Merlin knows that the curse won’t go away. If the enemy went through all the trouble to hide their identities, then there’s no way that they’d use a curse spell so weak as to break after a couple of activations. Worst comes to worst, Merlin will be left with two corpses of his former allies but nothing better than this.So then, what is the demon lord’s reason for forcing Lazaro and Kelzio to talk about their master? Simple. It’s torture. He’s merely giving them what they deserve. He’s giving them the pain and the suffering that both of them deserves. That’s why he’s making them go through the consequence of the curse over and over again. That’s also why he’s healing them both over and over again as well. So that they’d be in proper shape to take another beating of the curse. But he didn’t tell this to the two. Until that point, where he has already forced them to activate the curse twenty times over, Lazaro and Kelzio still hold on to the promise that they’d be freed.“You need to tr
“Now this is interesting.”Demonification. This is a concept that’s never been understood within the game of Requiem. There are instances where some players would be affected by a plague and turned into demons. When this occurs, they gain an immense boost in powers. But as a tradeoff, they forfeit all control of their character. Their avatar will move against their will until the Demonification ends – the time when they die.Within the game this means nothing since the character will simply respawn in the city. That’s why nobody took much interest in the Demonification itself. Because this plague doesn’t really affect them much and, there aren’t that many instances of these happening. This is also the same reason why Merlin is unable to get much information out of it. With the randomness of those turning into demons and the short duration of the state, there’s no way that he can get his hands
“He’s really something else isn’t he.”Philein’s master sat on his high throne, watching the events within the fight of the demon lord against the two demonified humans. The two of them also watched as Merlin made a sight out of his targets. Binding them down and killing them slowly while talking with the master in the shadows. “Master, are you fine?”“Fine? Oh I’m more than just fine Philein. I feel fantastic.” The master’s lips widened into a grin. Philein has never seen his master in such a good mood. If anything it’s more alarming than reassuring. As if there are things that are about to come which shouldn’t yet. “We need to hasten with our plans, we can’t have him ruining anything before I get all the things I need.” The master said, confirming what Philein thought. However, it’s not like he can go against the wishes of his master. It isn’t that easy because his master will always push through with the plans that’s been set. “Yes master.” This is all that Philein said in repl
All of Merlin’s most trusted allies went back to the dungeon. They got wind of the news of Merlin’s disappearance quickly because they share a communication network. Linked by none other than Dirth the goblin shaman. A very useful creature that’s been of great help to Merlin’s territories as of late.Samira and Sylvie didn’t waste any second. They dropped whatever it is that they were both doing and went back to the dungeon without missing a heartbeat. That’s how quickly they returned and, as for Teach, well, the expression on his face paints the entirety of his emotions.Eyes looking on the ground, face paled with cold sweat running down his forehead. His hands are tucked neatly at the side of both his legs. He can’t even look at the two in front of him. Though he has to soon enough because Samira asked the first question.“Merlin’s gone?”“Yes…he’s missing from the hibernation chamber.”“What the hell were you doing? Isn’t it supposed to be your job to take care of this place?” Sami
The Coven. This is the place where the monarchs of the five kingdoms come to meet for their annual summit. A large castle made of anti-magic materials. Preventing any of these monarchs from casting any life-threatening spells while, at the same time, making sure that no outside force will interfere while they hold their meeting. The high white walls cover the entirety of the structure, leaving only the top of the castle to be visible. And even this cannot be attacked for there is a barrier as strong as the one that defended Genesis City wrapped around it. This makes it almost impenetrable. This is also the place where the monarchs can hide in should there be threats to their lives from invasions or wars. That’s why the fortification of the Coven has reached a point where, even dragons have been tamed to defend it. All of which are waiting and slumbering within the walls of the same castle. Securing the monarchs who have begun their meeting.“You’re late.” King Mordred told King Pietro
All of the monarchs felt the tremor beneath their feet. Causing them to be on high alert. All of which drawing their weapons and pointing these at the other monarchs. Not knowing who it is that’s the cause of all this. And though this is the case, their instincts and their quick logic made them deduce a singular target – Mordred.“Did you plan all this?” Wolf asked. He’s the only suspect because, it’s this same monarch that planned the meeting. Nobody else knew of it because these royalties also vowed to secrecy. Placing a seal on King Mordred’s letter that placed them under a binding vow which safeguarded this rule.As such, nobody else should be aware of all that’s transpiring within Coven. That’s why the only suspect for all that’s happening is none other than the one who planned for this meeting in the first place. King Mordred Pendragon; the monarch of the Icy North.“Stop pointing your weapons at me.” The king said in a sharp yet calm tone. “I am not the cause of all this.”“Ye
