In order for Merlin’s plans to move forward, there are a couple of things that has to be prepared. The dungeon’s defenses have to be fortified and, as this happens, the [Forge] will be working in full throttle as well. Making the armor and weaponry of the monsters that will be deployed for battle. The goblins have begun this and are steadily making progress. Owing to the fact that they’ve been given better items and equipments for the craft, they are now more efficient in the task. What makes them a lot better is the fact that Dirth is now overseeing the project. The goblin shaman has been tasked to be with these regular goblins, ensuring that they finish everything in time and, to do this, Dirth has boosted their capabilities with his spells. Granting them craft enhancements.Other than this, Teach is working with the kobolds to set the traps and the watchtowers that adds to the defenses of the dungeon. Though it’s only the entrance part that requires this, Merlin thought that it’d b
[Plague River – Present Day]A swamp kobold came towards Gerant with its eyes looking at the ground. The sovereign has been in a sour mood ever since he lost against Samira. Though it was nothing more than a clone that the manticore defeated, this still left a bad taste in the mouth of the blood ogre.Gerant’s eyes gazed at a distance. It doesn’t even seem like he can see the swamp kobold that slowly came up to him. His pointing finger ticked at the side of his throne. A chair made of the skulls of monsters he killed and mutated using blood magic in order to turn the whole thing crimson. Making it an object of nightmares which, is perfect for any monster who wants to have a frightening looking throne.Of course, this also had its effect on the swamp kobold whose legs began to shake. Though it still continued moving towards Gerant because there’s something that he needs to ask. A question that many of the monsters within the blood ogre’s domain are asking as well.“Boss.” It began.Ger
[Location – Unknown]A man stands on top of a tower near collapse. With him is the knight named Michael. The same one that Junrio tried to call upon for the conflicts that occurred with Genesis City. But due to the predicament that he’s still on until that point, he isn’t able to give a response; nor did the message ever reach him.The crystal-like eyes of the knight reflected the destruction in front of them. Gigantic monsters march towards the humans. Towering over seven feet in height and, with these are smaller ones. All sharing the same war cry that resonates one goal – to feed on Michael and his ally, Sariel. Flames rose across the entirety of the battlefield and on the skies swirled monsters half the size of a full grown dragon. The stomping feet of the monsters made the foothold of Michael and Sariel begin to crumble. Yet even with all this pressure, the two knights remained calm. In fact, they’re even having a normal conversation as we speak.“There seems to be a lot of stuf
There are two territories that humanity temporarily abandoned. Both of which are ruined cities where no life can currently thrive. The first is Genesis City. A place boasting of a level of defense so great that, it is said that nobody is supposed to be able to get through it and yet the demon named Merlin Warlock is able to prove otherwise. Breaking past the barrier and unleashing chaos which the city has never experienced before. Then there’s the free city of Kraken. A place owned and managed by the pirates who is led by the cunning Raksha, a man with Omniscient Eyes that an see through all lies and deceit. A pirate who has claim over the legendary monster called Kraken which is bound to him under some form of contract. Yet even this city fell to the ground. Primarily because of P{Philein, and his allies but, Merlin is the one who cleaned p after their mess. Destroying everything that’s left behind while also getting his revenge on the two former members of Avalon.Between these two
When Merlin’s senses came back, he’s already deep within the sea. There is nothing but darkness here and a cold that is not as inviting. Yet even with all of this, Merlin doesn’t feel the slightest bit of fear. Probably because there’s no reason for him to be frightened or, probably because one of his new passive ability [Mind Clear].This ability prevents any negative effect on his mind to take effect. This includes hypnosis, confusion, and other negative mental states. And yes, it is an overpowered skill to say the least. With this skill being in effect, Merlin’s able to think clearly on what’s happening currently and, there are three things to note. One is that he’s within a vast body of water. This can be a sea or an ocean but there’s no clear way of telling which is which. The second one is that, even though he’s in such a state, Merlin isn’t drowning nor is he wet. He’s completely unsoaked and he can breathe properly. He isn’t falling deeper into the body of water as well. Mere
Merlin’s eyes opened slowly, like a newborn who’s introduced to the light of life after being in the shelter of its mother’s womb for too long. Yet the light that welcomed Merlin in that moment is a lot harsher. As if his eyelids are being burned and, as this sensation spread across the entirety of his body.Unknown to him, this is the result of him leaving the domain of the Kraken. The cold yet welcoming waters within the Kraken’s territory is alien to the harsh indifference of the world’s light brought about by the sun. And Merlin experienced this in its fullness. With his body slowly regaining its senses at the same time. There is a weight that prevented him from getting up. Not caused by a spell nor an increase in the world’s gravity but, just from him having no more mana. He knows that this is the reason because it’s the same sensation he comes across when he exhausts his mana reserves during the days of Requiem the game.“That bastard. It didn’t tell me anything about sucking me
The weapon stopped.Right before it can even reach the neck of the demon lord, the weapon stopped – caused by a block from another large weapon. Owned by none other than the Chimera, Samira.“You know, when I said that I wanted to spend more time with you, this isn’t what I meant.”Samira released a powerful blast of crimson mana that forced the abomination to back away. As this happened, Beatrix hurled shards of icicles towards the demon lord and the manticore. Intercepted by arrows that are fired by none other than Sylvie who appeared right in front of Merlin.“You know, when you said that we won’t be engaging in any battles soon, I already called your bluff.” The dark elf commented, wielding her new weapon. A longbow made from the blades that she took from her previous master, forged together with two other high rankings bows and a couple of other materials.“In my defense, I only came here for the contract with the Kraken.” The demon replied. “These guys just decided to pounce on
The fight between Sylvie and Beatrix. Merlin watched this from the comfort of the ruined Kraken City’s high walls The same way that he’s also observing the fight that’s going on between Samira and Corpus using a second [Faye].He is far from the reach of both sovereigns that have aimed for his head earlier on. Now, they are preoccupied with the fight against his own allies. Individuals that he raised and trained through the methods that he knows of. Allowing them to grow stronger within a shorter period of time compared to others. This is the reason why Merlin can watch without having to worry about a single thing. His allies aren’t so weak that their opponents would be able to take their eyes off of them without suffering any severe consequence. And, even if they do reach him, Merlin is ready to flicker to a new location. That being said, he can focus on watching the fights that are, at the moment, going in nobody’s favor. His allies and the opposing sovereigns feel like they’re even
