The central prison was most notorious for its guards, all of whom were woke-spiders. Nobody had ever escaped the prison because of these guards that could shoot webs for long distances and catch prey. Many alphas had tried their luck, and most of them lost their lives in the process.

Right now, the guards were all alerted because of Bubo’s arrival with an unknown guest. They stopped him at the entrance itself.

“Sir, the protocol says that you shouldn’t bring anyone along without permission in writing,” the head of the prison chambers, Aphido, an old woke-spider, hissed. Even though he was lower in rank compared to Bubo, he still didn’t waver. “Please leave.”

“I won’t say this again,” Bubo warned, while Myles stood right behind him. “If you value your lives, just open the gates. Don’t say I didn’t warn you afterward.”

“I’ll say the same thing again and again. Leave,” Aphido warned and raised his hand, ready to release webs if necessary.
