Fights were happening everywhere in the wolf city, except for the Sheep’s ward, the only place where the secret entrance into the dark dungeon used to be.

Penny had rushed here to see if the people were alright, and to her pleasant surprise, not just the people, but even the city was totally fine.

“H-How’s this possible?” Penny was greatly shocked. “How come no one has turned into one of those black-eyed beings?”

Elder John, the warden, coolly said, “How can the dark rain affect us when we’ve never polluted our bodies with the crystals from the nether dungeon that the mages covet?”

“That’s…” Penny still couldn’t believe it even though she felt like John might be right. “Does this mean that those damn nether dungeon’s crystals are the gateway to being possessed by dark entities?” She clutched her head in pain. “What have I done! How many crystals have I sold from that evil dungeon! How many lives will be lost now because of me!”

“Don’t blame yourself too much, Penelope,” John comforted
