Sasha sat in the tiny room Jane said was her room, thinking of different things. It was morning already and she could barely sleep a wink all through the night. She was thinking about Damson, if he was still alive or not. She had wanted to leave the country but she had nothing. She had beaten herself up over and over again for falling for Jaxon’s ridiculous plan. She stared at the phone in her hands and wished it wasn't dead so she could call Damson and talk to him, but it was useless. She wasn't with her charger and had begged Jane to help her get one but all she did was look at her with disgust and told her she would not be doing such a thing. She also told her not to think about asking her for any favours, especially money. Sasha decided to stop sulking and leave the room. She was starving and hadn't eaten anything since she got on the plane. She got to the kitchen to see Jane eating some pancakes and syrup and her stomach growled in hunger. She quickly opened the fridge to get
Sasha looked around as she walked away from the house. Everywhere looked so foreign and they walked fast, like they were on a mission and minding their business. They didn't look approachable and she wondered how she would be able to talk to them to help her. She decided to keep walking around, hoping to meet someone that would look less strict and more approachable when all of a sudden, she bumped into someone. It was a young looking man. He looked older than her and looked very handsome. She looked at him for a minute before she quickly apologised after she realised that she was staring at him."I'm so sorry for bumping into you. I wasn't really looking at where I was going." She said, bending to grab the man's bag. She noticed that some of the books in the bag had fallen off so she helped him put it back inside his bag. She handed it back to the man who collected it and grunted. "It's fine. Just watch where you're going next time." He muttered not even looking at her. "You do
Sasha gasped as she saw the anger on Tom's face after his sister, Tanya cut the strap of his bag. His face was very red and he tightened and untightened his fist trying to control himself.Sasha thought he was going to hit his sister with the way he was breathing heavily and acting. "What the hell, Tanya!?" Tom yelled. "Do you know how expensive my bag is? I really can't believe you're doing this in the middle of the street." "You should have just left the watch. You shouldn't have stolen it. If you're worried so much about your bag, I'll get you a new one but I have to get my husband's watch first." Tanya said, digging her hand into Tom's bag and checking for the wristwatch. When she couldn't find it, she poured out all the contents of the bag on the floor and started to search for the watch. Tom didn't say anything but watched his sister angrily. After some minutes, she stood up and faced him angrily. "I know what you are!" She sneered. "I lived with you all my life and I know th
Sasha walked really fast, looking back at intervals. She had this weird feeling that someone was following her and she wasn't sure who. At some point, she couldn't look back again and continued walking. She didn't also know where she was going because out of fear, she wasn't thinking straight or looking at where she was going. She started to run and the person that was following her also started to run after her. She could hear the heavy footsteps. "God, please help me. Is this how I'll end up dying? In another country, with no one to help me? No, I can't! I have to save myself. I need to see Damson again." Sasha muttered to herself as she continued to run. Tears formed in her eyes. She hadn't run for long when the person caught up to her and pulled her to a corner. "Please, don't harm me. I have done nothing wrong so please just let me go." She pleaded, breathing heavily. "Why were you running when you did nothing wrong?" The voice replied, also breathing heavily. Sasha's head
"Don't you dare touch me!" Sasha yelled, pushing Tom away from her. "I don't care about whatever reasons you have that made you stop me but I have things to do. I have a lot of things to figure out so just leave me alone. I'm done with talking to you." "You are so short tempered." Tom said, rolling his eyes. "You seriously need to chill out and stop getting agitated. What you should ask right now is what reasons I have to stop you from leaving. You can easily save yourself from yelling and stressing. I expected you to be curious, not angry." "Didn't you hear what I just said? I said that I don't care about whatever reasons you might have! I'm not interested in it at all. I'm also not interested in having a conversation with you so don't you dare try to stop me from leaving again if you don't want me to show you my other side." "I have to find out how to leave this country. I'm frustrated, angry, worried and disturbed. A lot of thoughts are going on in my head and I can't just stop
"Are you going to keep staring at me or hand over the watch?" Tom asked, stretchingbout his hand to collect the watch from Sasha's but she put it back inside her pocket, not handing it over to him. Tom was surprised. "Why did you return the watch back into your pocket?" He asked. "Are you trying to keep it for yourself after seeing it? Sorry but It's not yours and you have to hand it over right now." "That would not be happening." Sasha replied with a fake smile. "You think you can just do this and get away with it? You committed a crime and you involved me in it without my consent or you want to tell me you don't know it's a crime?" "You made your sister look like a fool and you even went as far as telling her that her husband might have stolen the watch when you actually did. How could you just deny everything without feeling a type of way?""I can't believe I also fell for your lies and blamed your sister for calling you a thief when you're truly one." Tom let out a sigh. "I do
Sasha sighed as she put a spoonful of food on her mouth, calming her stomach. She had been starving and was glad that she finally had something to eat. She was also happy that her plan had worked and she was able to use Tom to her advantage. She didn't know how she would have been able to figure out what to eat without him. She smiled to herself for being smart. She looked at Tom to see that he was watching her which made her stop smiling. He wasn't eating and he She knew that it was because he was waiting for her to explain everything that had happened to her and why she needed his help but she was going to finish eating before saying anything. Some minutes later, she finished eating. "Thank you for the food." She said to Tom, clearing her throat and cleaning her mouth with a napkin but Tom just grunted without a smile on his face. "You really don't need to be sour about this whole thing, Tom. Just see it as business. After everything has been cleared, we can go our separate way
Sasha took in deep breaths as she waited for the call to go through. Different thoughts were crossing her mind and she tried her best to calm herself and not have a panic attack before she could speak to him. The dial tone filled her ears and she waited in anticipation to hear Damson's voice but unfortunately, he didn't pick it up. Her heart dipped but she refused to let her thoughts consume her. It was hard, but she didn't let it get to her.To her, Damson was fine and healthy and his phone is probably not with him which is why he didn't pick it or he didn't pick because it was a strange number. She reassured herself so many times before she decided to call him again. But he still didn't pick again and Sasha's mind went back to the last time something like this had happened. How she had tried to reach Damson but she couldn't for a long time. She doesn't have the time to waste this time around and she needed to talk to him as soon as she could. She paced back and forth, rubbing her
