This match was going to be a bit special as all the competitors were from the same branch family.

As Art appeared in the waiting room with her, she noticed that he was giving off a different vibe than before.

“Is something wrong?” She asked to which he shook his head.

He smiled from time to time and the smile on his face was quite frightening. Seeing this part of him reminded her about the change he had undergone which she had forgotten because of his recent display of weakness.

Shortly after, they were teleported into the battlefield along with their opponents JV and Chucky.

They seemed even happier than him. They were like someone who just got their 10-year-old long wish granted.

They were surprised to find themselves as partners but couldn’t tell what the reason for this was, but now they understood. This was without a doubt destined by the heavens.

Even though they felt excited, they couldn’t let their guards down as they knew well how strong Jasmine was.

They believed he was e

JV who couldn’t accept this sent out many more slashes but Art succeeded in blocking every single one and when he got an opening, he swung his sword towards JV’s neck without putting too much effort but when JV blocked, it felt quite heavy so he decided to duck avoiding Art’s dagger which he stabbed towards him but he failed to notice Art’s feet which were being raised towards his face. He ended up kissing Art’s boots while staggering backwards with blood trailing from his lips. “What’s wrong? Don’t tell me that’s all you’ve got?” Art smirked teasingly. Everyone watching this was gob-smacked especially the Vons who were even frozen in shock. From this short exchange, Art was proven stronger than JV. When did someone who was so pitiful gain strength of thi

“JV are you alright?” Chucky knelt beside him.“I’m fine, I just dropped my guard a little,” he spat while standing up with blood dripping from his left shoulder. “But you’re injured. I think I should take it from here.”“Don’t give me that crap,” JV retorted. “I would be the one to bring him down.” Chucky folded his fist as he said words that he never thought possible in his entire life.“I- I hate to admit it. I don’t know how, but he’s stronger than we expected. We…….we would have to team up to defeat him.”JV bit his lips so hard that blood began to flow out. Teaming up against this loser. This was far from acceptable but it was the reality. He promised to disgrace him to the highest possible point before claiming victory. “Aren’t you guys done flirting?” Art yawned causing their anger to rise to abnormal heights.Chucky’s choice of weapon was a pair of gauntlets with claws so he was also a close-range fighter.“Let’s go,” they both crouched down with Art doing the same, he h

Everyone watched as Art made them suffer drastically. He made sure not to hit their vital organs so as not to get the officials involved but right now, he had to stop. If he continued, he would be considered someone cruel, heartless, or even a psychopath. Not that he cared about their opinion of him, but it wasn’t a good idea for people to think of him like that with his current strength. So even though he wasn’t satisfied, he had to let them off. He stared at their bloodied body along with some broken bones which was barely conscious for some seconds before shaking his head.He was about to walk away when he remembered something so he turned and spat on Jv’s face then proceeded to walk away. The whole arena watched him in silence with a smile forming on the face of a silver-haired and yellow-eyed lady. Jasmine subconsciously stepped back as he walked past her without sparing a glance. She was glad that this was their last match together as she didn’t believe she could fight comfor

“Yawn!” Art woke up while cleaning a drop of tears from his eyes. He hoped today would be as interesting as yesterday. Well, that’s to be expected as the big guns would be fighting each other today. After freshening up, Art walked out from the toilet while whistling. He didn’t seem worried or nervous to be matched with potentially strong people. It was time for the second stage of the contest to begin and to his surprise when the first match was announced, he was the first in line and his opponent seemed familiar. After putting in some thought he remembered. He was Frigga’s partner in the group stage.“He must find it rough to be among the first fighters of both stages,” Art shook his head.“I believe I have about 30 minutes to get rea…” Before he could complete his speech, he got teleported and the next place he found himself was in the middle of the arena. He blinked several times to make sure he wasn’t seeing things but this was reality. Some of the spectators had their lips par

Several people captured the attention of the spectators and they were excited to see them matched up against each other. The previous match between the two girls was one of them but it wasn’t still as hyped up as the match which was about to happen. The name of one of the contestants was Charles Von Silver, someone who had displayed great potential and strength in the group stage with probably more hidden away. His opponent was the person besides Art who intrigued and surprised the crowd the most. He seemed as though he was going to collapse any second from now and this was how he has been in all his matches but somehow, he pulled through all of them. His name is Sil Li Silver. Charles stared at his opponent who kept yawning warily. He was someone intelligent and made sure to gauge his opponents and among all the contestants he had deemed only a few a threat to him with the boy in front of him being one of them.~Yawn~Sil’s m

  • The Successor System    Jasmine Proving herself

Everyone had different reactions after watching this fight. Both opponents were formidable and some contestants got fired up while others lost hope of winning and just wanted to do what they could. Most ‘MCs’ would show the former but Art was among the latter. He knew very well that he could not go all out and without that, there was no way he could win. Even going all out wouldn't make his victory certain. ‘What makes you think you’re the MC,’ his guide’s voice said clearly in his mind.“Well, I think that's pretty obvious. I’m the one who got reincarnated and I have the system,” he said in an as-a-matter-of-fact tone causing her to release a sigh.‘You really are dense.’“That was an insult right?”‘Of course not. It's just fact.’Just what was he expecting? “Aren't you supposed to be my biggest supporter?” he shook his head in disappointment.‘But I am,’ she retorted. “Yeah, 'cause I look dumb right?” he meant that as a sign of his disbelief but she took it another way.‘Yes.’ S

This was the second most anticipated match-ups. Both of them gave off different types of powerful auras, so no one knew who would win. Even the VIPs showed a lot of interest in it. If it wasn’t for the rules, this was the ideal time to make money from betting. Both contestants appeared in the arena and not surprisingly, they had smiles on their faces. They were the type of people who always looked for powerful opponents to fight and get stronger. They found all the people they had battled till now a waste of their time, so why won’t they be glad? Dave took off the glaive on his back while Beatrix unsheathed the two swords also from her back. She had been using just one up till now but she wasn’t going to hold back much.“I hope you would be more interesting than the others,” she said causing him to chuckle.“Don’t worry, you’re in for a lot of fun.”Immediately the green line disappeared, Beatrix moved towards him at a speed which hasn’t been displayed by anyone in this contest.Da

“Huh?” Art noticed as two girls distanced themselves further when going past him.He let out a disappointed sigh. ‘Looks like you’ve done it.’“I guess so, maybe I should’ve stopped a little earlier……… Just joking.”If his guide has eyes she would’ve rolled them.“Just hope it doesn’t cause any problems later on. Arghhh! It’s all their fault,” he groaned in annoyance. If JV and Chucky were here they would’ve coughed out blood.A similar thing happened when he met some of his fellow Vons. They kept staring at him like he was an alien. Some even tried to get friendly. Such a joke. This was how things usually works as everyone would love to make friends with powerful or potentially powerful people. ‘So do you plan on winning the contest?’“Winning? Nah! That would just draw attention to me and the life I’m going to live from now on doesn’t need something like that. She was pretty sure it had been referring to Valor—after all, he was the only male soul summoner in the entire school.Ultimately, she found him seated alone in a secluded building, his posture slumped, a defeated expression clouding his face.Well, considering he had actually been defeated two days ago, it wasn’t all that surprising. He was so lost in thought that he only noticed her when she got very close. His gaze shifted toward her, his brows furrowing. "Who are you?" he asked, frowning."Uh—sorry to bother you. My name is Caitlyn Slerh. I'm a summoner, also in the first year." She figured he wouldn’t recognize her since he rarely attended classes. "I’d like you to help me with summoning magic.""You’ve really got some nerve," he scoffed. "Leave before I get any angrier.""I'm sorry, but I can't do that. I need to tackle my problem if I want to keep up with him. Please he

Shallow breaths escaped along with gasps as the darkness around a girl twisted into a white landscape. She stood at the center of the brightly lit scenery, a thick white mist curling around her ankles. It felt both cold and hot at the same time.Faint echoes of whispers drifted from the distance beyond.Suddenly, a deep growl rumbled through the air.Her body tensed as she slowly turned. And there it stood before her—a towering nine-tailed fox with gleaming white fur. Its crimson eyes burned like embers, and each of its nine tails swayed along with the wind. She tried to step back, but she found herself unable to move. The fox advanced, its massive paws making no sound as it circled her."Why are you scared?" A soft, layered feminine voice slithered through her mind. Her eyes widened, her breathing becoming faster and more labored."W-Who are you?" she barely managed to whisper."I am the one you freed and saved. I am sincerely grateful for that, so I shall dedicate myself to serving

*Pant**Pant**Pant*Art slowly brought his breathing under control. He had been so close to dying once again. He placed a hand on his damp, bloodied chest. He had managed to escape by using the space swap attribute he copied to switch places with the clone he left in the forest. Normally, the space swap attribute didn’t work over such long distances, but it works specially well with the clone attribute since the clone carried the same mana signature as him. So, It was successful—though at an immense cost. The technique had drained a large amount of his mana, leaving his MP low. He had also timed it as perfectly as he could, but she had been too fast, managing to partially pierce him before the switch. If he had been even an instant slower, he would be dead by now."I need to leave," he muttered, pushing himself up and staggering away. This place had nearly killed him twice—he had no intention of returning.Art navigated through the forest, even though he had no real idea where he wa

Very powerful.Fighting was out of the question."Is something wrong?"Another voice drifted in.'Wait… there’s two of them?' Art’s panic grew, now visible on his face. 'I didn’t even notice either of them…'"Yes. Someone’s here," the woman responded, narrowing her eyes at him. "Though I’m still debating whether he’s here on purpose… or if he’s just lost. Because coming here at that level of strength would be incredibly stupid."Art didn’t even have the luxury of feeling insulted. His mind was working at full speed, trying to figure out how to leave here alive. The second figure—the male—arrived at the scene, his gaze settling on Art.His eyes had an eerie, faint blue glow, and like the woman, he bore those same strange inscriptions. With a flick of his wrist, the chest vanished into his storage device.Once he finished collecting everything, he placed them inside the larger spatial device he had bought. Now, it was time to check the ruins. There was a chance they held clues—fragments of history that could tell him more about the battle that took place here.Anything that could provide insight into the Grand War.He exited the central building moments later, stepping into the ruins once more.Unlike before, there was no lingering sensation of being watched.Only silence. An eerie stillness hung in the air as Art cautiously made his way through the crumbling remains of what had once been a grand city. The walls, faded with time, bore cracks and scars from the past. Art carefully navigated the forest, mindful not to lose his way.He had planned ahead before now, placing the teleportation circle in a spot that would make this journey easier. After a few minutes, he arrived at the area where he had once fought seventeen D-rank beasts. Much of the mess had been covered by vegetation and nature, but the site was still recognizable.A good sign—he was on the right track. Before long, he reached the stream where he and Asura had fought. It was just as beautiful as before, though he had no time to admire it.‘I believe it was there.’ His gaze settled on the tree where she had told him to meet her. Without hesitation, he headed in that direction. Then, he noticed something."Hmm?"Looking up, he spotted several beasts perched in the trees, staring down at him. They were D-rank beasts, clearly hungry, but none of them dared to move closer—let alone attack.Their instincts and intelligence warned them otherwise.Art ignored them and continued walking.Afte

Two days later, A girl with bright pink, pigtailed hair leaned against a wall, her arms crossed. Seated beside her was a black-haired boy with a scarred cheek."You're telling me he's gotten that strong in just a few months?" Karen, the number one Elite, asked, his tone laced with curiosity."Yep. I saw it myself. Not only can he use the Silver special arts, but he also wields rune magic decently well. Honestly? I’m not even sure who's stronger between us." Uramia’s eyes flickered with interest at her own words.Even after Art’s fight, more surprises had followed."And it's not just him. There was another one. Another Silver. He caught me off guard the most. You should keep an eye on them.""If what you're saying is true, then even I would struggle to handle them alone," Karen admitted, looking up at her. "I might need your assistance."Uramia met his gaze with an unreadable expression before bursting into laughter."I’ll lend a little assistance here and there, but don’t expect much

"You wish! Don't think you'll just have your way. This isn't over yet!" Valor spat. "Go!"His C-rank summon charged at Art once more, its sheer presence pressing down on the spectators. Many students shifted uncomfortably in their seats, intimidated by its raw power. But Art? He didn’t even move. The summon closed in fast, one of its heated appendages whipping forward, aiming straight for Art’s forehead.About two months ago, back during the raid, this attack would have seemed overwhelmingly fast. But now?It was nothing.Casually, Art stretched out his blackened right arm, catching the appendage mid-strike—right at its burning hot-spot.A scream echoed across the arena. But it wasn’t from Art.The beast recoiled in agony, thrashing wildly. It lashed out with its second appendage, but Art dodged effortlessly, then twisted his grip and slammed the creature into the ground. • The Beauty of Power

The C-rank summon charged forward furiously.Just by running, its paws and claws left deep marks on the ground. Many students watching were disturbed by its presence. To think Valor would summon something this powerful for just a spar—it was absurd. But despite its ferocity, the beast only showed interest in Art, proving that Valor had complete control over it.The summon was a four-limbed creature resembling a massive hound, but it had two additional appendages sprouting from its back. These thick, tail-like structures ended in razor-sharp points, radiating immense heat. A strike from them wouldn’t just cut—it would sear flesh instantly.Art steadied his stance, his true weapon shifting into a long spear as he faced both the beast and its summoner. Valor smirked, gripping his short sword tightly as he advanced in tandem with his summon. The beast lunged first, its molten tails whipping toward Art with deadly speed. He dodged, pivoting on his heel to evade the searing strikes. Counter
