[Due to the stress and injuries put on host’s body, host’s life span has been shortened]

[Time left:]

[1:18:12:45]

He was shocked at first after reading this, but then again, it was expected.

This meant that he had less than two days to get to level ten, so if he doesn’t finish this today he would have to come back tomorrow.

He opened his stats to see the changes.

He pondered on whether to continue or not but his thoughts got interrupted by the ruffling sounds coming from the bushes.

Racheal slowly broke the hug before looking around warily.

Just a few seconds later, a white rabbit with glowing red eyes leaped out from a shrub and as her gaze fell on it, her eyes widened in horror.

It was confusing how she didn’t seem scared of the wolf but had such an expression for a creature much smaller.

You might be thinking that looks can be deceiving but contrary to that, this little rabbit was way weaker than the wolf despite also being an F-rank.

Yes, even beasts of the same rank had differences in power and this beast was among the weakest of F-ranks but there was a reason for her reaction.

‘Shit! How did they get here? This isn’t part of their territory,' she cursed internally not even bothering to attack the beast, instead, she helped Art to get up.

“We have to leave here now,” she voiced out as Art’s gaze also fell on the beast, and with his memories he could recognize it, having a similar reaction as Racheal.

With the arrival of this beast, he decided to come back tomorrow.

With her support, they turned around and began to walk away but after several steps, they saw the red-eyed rabbit as they were called, in front of them.

Rather, it was another one, as the one behind them was still yet to move.

Racheal gritted her teeth as there was now another red-eyed rabbit at their right.

~Ruffle~

A fourth red-eyed rabbit leaped from the bushes on their left.

Ten

Twenty

In less than ten seconds they were surrounded by about 50 red-eyed rabbits.

This was why they were feared. They always came in large numbers.

With both of them being surrounded, she had no other choice but to fight.

She knew protecting both of them from such beasts won’t be easy but she was going to give it her all.

“I’ll end this quickly, just stay here,” she said placing him down with his back resting against a tree.

He had lost most of the little blood he had in his body. Calling him pale now, would be an understatement as the only colour on his body except for plain white was his eyes and hair.

Art barely had any strength left and his HP had even reduced by one, leaving him with only two.

Racheal wasn’t planning on wasting time here so she got serious from the start.

A red-eyed rabbit leaped at Racheal, opening its mouth which had razor-sharp teeth but she swung her fist into its face sending it flying and crashing lifelessly to the ground.

It was an instant kill and Art who was on the verge of dying stared at them like treasures.

They would be a great way to farm EXP. He felt silly thinking about something like this at such a moment.

They kept leaping at her to take a bite but she had stayed with the Silvers for some time now so she was good at fighting without the use of magic.

Only after a while as their numbers kept increasing did she decide to use magic, and she planned on going all out.

Clasping her hands together, five big balls of water materialized from thin air before being separated into smaller sizes.

This was the first time he was seeing magic being used, so he just kept staring in awe.

Clasping her hands tighter, the small balls of water shot through the air at great speed piercing into different parts of 70 percent of their population, with all dying on the spot or a little later.

The attack she just performed was draining for someone of her level and it was the best she could come up with to deal with this situation but this seemed useless as the amount she had just killed got replaced by the arrival of more in less than five seconds.

She knew they usually came in numbers, but this…….this was too much.

The only answer she could come up with for the cause of this was that they were migrating.

Just how bad was their luck to come here at such a time?

She performed the same spell again, this time pouring continuous mana in the spell as the little water balls kept firing off like bullets from a machine gun, killing them continuously in large numbers but the rate at which they were dying was just as much as how more were arriving, so their number didn't seem to be decreasing.

The attack just stopped them from getting closer, more like it killed anyone that did.

If he had the strength, Art would’ve whistled at how many beasts she was killing.

If he was the one doing this, he was sure to have leveled up multiple times by now.

The area surrounding them was a bloody mess which reminded him of his last moments in his former world, where he had to fight for his survival even with the number of injuries he had received from the torture.

He had a decent amount of pain resistance, which was obvious from his fight with the wolf. So he didn’t let it get in the way and that was why he was able to kill all those people before losing his.

His previous life was really messed up and it might surprise you but his fianceé wasn’t the first heartbreaking betrayal that he had received.

The first happened when he was just 13 years old.

His family was into both the mafia and politics, so being a son, much more the heir was very risky.

He was educated at a very young age about the world he was into, which raised his resistance towards people but there was one person he trusted. His only true friend back then.

They did a lot of things together and even considered themselves as brothers. That was until their argument over a girl.

Come to think of it, he had suffered a lot because of females.

Well, to cut the long story short, this same person he considered a brother, sold out his location to a family rival who didn’t waste any time trying to kidnap him.

But he had been given lessons on how to defend himself at that time and in the process of this he ended up killing one of them.

His best friend after realizing what he had done, came to ask for forgiveness but he cast him away telling him not to ever show his face again.

He wanted to kill him but couldn’t as he was already traumatized after his first kill and even though he would’ve ended up dead if he didn’t, it couldn’t make him feel better.

It took him two years to recover only to fall in love and you all saw how that ended up.

So even though he stared at the girl in front of him risking her life for his when she could’ve escaped, which he was sure that his so-called best friend and fianceé wouldn't do, he couldn’t still bring himself to trust her totally.

But now she made him realize something.

There were still good people out there who would do anything for those they claim to love and care about.

He who had suffered not-so-good relationships was a little bit moved by this.

Racheal who was now exhausted and low on mana with sweat dripping from her face suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.

Shifting her gaze, she saw Art who had a smile on his face

The journey to the mansion took him about 40 minutes, so he had 20 minutes left before the announcement and he needed a shower. There wasn’t anyone outside as this was still early in the afternoon with most of them being either in their room or the underground training arena.Oh! Forgot to mention that. There was a large training arena below the mansion where real training and sparring happened. The field on the outside was mostly for exercising and light training if the person wanted to do it outside. Art was yet to go there since he arrived in this world and he planned to do that soon. He walked into the mansion with a lot on his mind. He knew that he couldn’t depend on mana for now so he had to exercise the abilities of the Silvers to the fullest. He was thankful that he wasn’t born into a family that derived all their strength from the use of magic, or else he would’ve been doomed for having his mana core locked. So, he had to keep increasing his stats while honing his fighti

“Greetings, Lord Gajeel,” the voiced out in unison while standing up with a bow.Art found this weird, but he had to do it. It was a sign of respect shown to senior members of the family and this wasn’t just done by the Silvers. Lord Gajeel didn’t usually meddle in their personal affairs. His job was just to observe, guide and pass on information to them. He let them do anything they pleased as long as it didn’t affect the few rules put on them. “Hahaha! Come on now, you guys don’t have to get all formal with me. You can have your seats,” he chuckled as they obediently sat down.He walked towards a large sofa which was positioned in a place where everyone could easily see him. After sitting down, he glanced at every one of them, coming to a stop when his gaze fell on Art.He stared at him for some time before smiling slightly.‘What’s with that,' Art’s eyebrow knitted slightly.Lord Gajeel focused back on all of them with a serious but slightly excited expression as he began speakin

Today was going to be different. As he walked closer, the door opened by itself revealing a long staircase heading downwards. He walked forward and just as he placed his foot on the first stair the whole staircase all the way to the end got lightened up by designs of lines on the wall. Some were curly, some wavy, mostly intertwining It was a very beautiful sight. With a smile on his face, he descended the stairs and when he reached the end the underground arena also got lightened up.It was a battle arena with rows of seats that rose in steps around a spherical open space. The rows of seats weren’t much as it wasn’t meant to occupy a large number of people in the first place. He looked around making sure that he was alone as he didn’t plan on holding back.

“Y-You,” she stammered staring at him with eyes widened in disbelief. She had watched everything that happened and was shocked to see how the boy who had been looked down upon for his weakness performed. Art himself was shocked because he made sure to check if anyone was around before fighting and now he was staring at someone seated. If anyone came through the stairs he would’ve noticed and put on an act but she seemed to have just appeared. She had short silver wavy hair with green eyes and was the shy girl who felt sad whenever he was bullied and he had barely seen her since that first-morning breakfast. Wait! The next morning, or so he thought. Art let out a yawn before opening his eyes. The first thing he saw was Racheal. “Hmmm? He stared at her in confusion.“Good morning Art.”“Is there a problem?” He asked sitting up.“It would soon be time for your departure.”“Departure?” He was even more confused and so was Racheal. He stayed in his room throughout the previous day which she believed was either the case or he left and returned as usual but this time without her knowledge. She went with the latter but seeing his reaction, she realized that she was wrong. “You would all be leaving for the ceremony soon,” she said with her eyebrows knitted.“No, that is meant to happen tomorrow.” She always wasn’t wrong when delivering information so he wondered if she hit her head somewhere. Hearing what he said, she was now convinced that he had overslept.“The announcement for the ceremony was made the day before yesterday and you didn’t leave your room yesterday which I failed to realize as I t

He could see faces he recognized and some he couldn’t and a lot of them were staring at him. He remembered getting drugged in the jet along with everyone else and after looking around once more, he realized that he was the last to wake up as they were all on their feet. This was quite embarrassing. He remembered his system activating defensive measures which failed because of his low intelligence stat point. According to the information given by the system, intelligence stat was focused on the ability to comprehend and use magic spells.Since his mana core had always been a problem and later got locked, he didn’t find it useful to place stats points there, but he was wrong as it clearly had other functions connected to the mind and body so he decided to no longer leave it behind. He had managed to escape by using the space swap attribute he copied to switch places with the clone he left in the forest. So, It was successful—though at an immense cost. The technique had drained a large amount of his mana, leaving his MP low. He had also timed it as perfectly as he could, but she had been too fast, managing to partially pierce him before the switch. If he had been even an instant slower, he would be dead by now."I need to leave," he muttered, pushing himself up and staggering away. Seated beside her was a black-haired boy with a scarred cheek."You're telling me he's gotten that strong in just a few months?" Karen, the number one Elite, asked, his tone laced with curiosity."Yep. I saw it myself. Not only can he use the Silver special arts, but he also wields rune magic decently well. Honestly? I’m not even sure who's stronger between us." He caught me off guard the most. You should keep an eye on them.""If what you're saying is true, then even I would struggle to handle them alone," Karen admitted, looking up at her. The C-rank summon charged forward furiously.Just by running, its paws and claws left deep marks on the ground. Many students watching were disturbed by its presence. To think Valor would summon something this powerful for just a spar—it was absurd. But despite its ferocity, the beast only showed interest in Art, proving that Valor had complete control over it.The summon was a four-limbed creature resembling a massive hound, but it had two additional appendages sprouting from its back. These thick, tail-like structures ended in razor-sharp points, radiating immense heat. Valor smirked, gripping his short sword tightly as he advanced in tandem with his summon. The beast lunged first, its molten tails whipping toward Art with deadly speed. He dodged, pivoting on his heel to evade the searing strikes. Counter
