Art was standing in front of the door which led to the underground arena.Others came here to train or spar almost every day but he hasn’t gone in for months due to low self-esteem and the mockery he received (not actually him). Today was going to be different. As he walked closer, the door opened by itself revealing a long staircase heading downwards. He walked forward and just as he placed his foot on the first stair the whole staircase all the way to the end got lightened up by designs of lines on the wall. Some were curly, some wavy, mostly intertwining It was a very beautiful sight. With a smile on his face, he descended the stairs and when he reached the end the underground arena also got lightened up.It was a battle arena with rows of seats that rose in steps around a spherical open space. The rows of seats weren’t much as it wasn’t meant to occupy a large number of people in the first place. He looked around making sure that he was alone as he didn’t plan on holding back.
“Y-You,” she stammered staring at him with eyes widened in disbelief. She had watched everything that happened and was shocked to see how the boy who had been looked down upon for his weakness performed. Art himself was shocked because he made sure to check if anyone was around before fighting and now he was staring at someone seated. If anyone came through the stairs he would’ve noticed and put on an act but she seemed to have just appeared. She had short silver wavy hair with green eyes and was the shy girl who felt sad whenever he was bullied and he had barely seen her since that first-morning breakfast. Wait! That’s not meant to be so, there are several occasions where they should’ve met but he doesn’t remember seeing her, for example, the announcement that just happened a while ago, he remembers seeing everyone’s face but not hers. The former body owner also had similar experiences. It turns out that she can conceal her presence, not being noticeable unless a lot of attenti
The next morning, or so he thought. Art let out a yawn before opening his eyes. The first thing he saw was Racheal. “Hmmm? He stared at her in confusion.“Good morning Art.”“Is there a problem?” He asked sitting up.“It would soon be time for your departure.”“Departure?” He was even more confused and so was Racheal. He stayed in his room throughout the previous day which she believed was either the case or he left and returned as usual but this time without her knowledge. She went with the latter but seeing his reaction, she realized that she was wrong. “You would all be leaving for the ceremony soon,” she said with her eyebrows knitted.“No, that is meant to happen tomorrow.” She always wasn’t wrong when delivering information so he wondered if she hit her head somewhere. Hearing what he said, she was now convinced that he had overslept.“The announcement for the ceremony was made the day before yesterday and you didn’t leave your room yesterday which I failed to realize as I t
Slowly, consciousness slipped into Art and his eyes flickered for some time before opening and being greeted by the clear blue sky. He sat up feeling groggy before looking around. He could see faces he recognized and some he couldn’t and a lot of them were staring at him. He remembered getting drugged in the jet along with everyone else and after looking around once more, he realized that he was the last to wake up as they were all on their feet. This was quite embarrassing. He remembered his system activating defensive measures which failed because of his low intelligence stat point. According to the information given by the system, intelligence stat was focused on the ability to comprehend and use magic spells.Since his mana core had always been a problem and later got locked, he didn’t find it useful to place stats points there, but he was wrong as it clearly had other functions connected to the mind and body so he decided to no longer leave it behind. His system probably want
After saying those words, Lord Gajeel left without answering any of the questions they had in mind and now they were all left staring at the cave. The first person to walk forward was the boy who had an unwavering smile on his face.He was emanating pure confidence in every step he took and the next was Beatrix and then the boy beside her who was shorter than all of them, also looking younger.Iris followed and just like that, everyone began to head to the cave and after the first person stepped foot inside, a scenario similar to when he went down the stair appeared. Different glowing designs on the wall and ground, acting as a source of light. They walked further and the deeper they got the more lightened up the cave became. Even though this was a beautiful sight, it was still spooky, after all, this was a cave and you'll never know if something was hiding. Art who had experience from several horror movies in his previous life made sure to stay somewhere in the center occasionally
They all kept staring at the wall where she previously stood in surprise and confusion.“Drake, what was that?” A boy beside the leader boy asked.“I guess she was right,” he responded as the confident and now excited smile on his face returned. He walked towards the wall and stood in front of it for some seconds before also walking in. Seeing him do this, everyone began to follow suit, and Art who was still being held against his will was pulled along with the shorter boy by the excited Beatrix. She didn’t even hesitate before jumping through the wall along with them. They felt a twist in space before appearing in a place that looked like…..well—space. Art felt that he would keep falling as it looked like an endless abyss but his legs made contact with something which he couldn’t see. It seemed transparent. It was pitch black all around and the only sources of like were the orbs floating above which looked like stars in the night sky.“So this is the Cave of Alchemy,” Art said in adm
"What the!” He exclaimed, subconsciously grabbing his chest but the orb had already gone in. ‘It went into me right?’‘Obviously.’He couldn't help but remember Lord Gajeel's words. 'The higher an orb is suspended from the ground, the more potential it's likely to have.’The height, the glow, even the size, everything about those two orbs screamed weakness. He couldn't believe it. He was doomed. His guide let out a deep sigh.‘I guess you got the screwdriver after all.’‘Shut the fuck up!’ He screamed internally.‘Yea!’ She also screamed like a scared little girl. ‘Who knows, maybe you're the one who jinx me earlier,’ he frowned.‘I’m innocent.’He wasn't going to fall for it this time.‘Your nothing but innocent.’ 'Then how do you want me to ease you? Oh! I got one. While you bath I'll……..’'Argggh!’ Art exclaimed. She was just too impossible. He had been having problems with bathing because of her. If it was up to him, he wouldn’t, but then again he had to.He headed back to wher
Opening his eyes, Art found himself in an endless space with white glowing ground and a beautiful night sky with blue and green lights similar to an aurora. It felt so peaceful in here that even he was surprised. “Wait! Did I die?” He muttered in confusion as he fell into contemplation. "But how?” “Maybe I couldn't handle the mana pressure back there.” He looked around once more. “Then is this heaven or something.” “Heaven?” He heard the voice of a little girl which from behind and he turned back immediately. His gaze fell on not one but two girls. Both of them were the cutest thing he had ever seen. They seemed to be twelve years old and looked alike in all aspects except for their hair and eye colour. One of them had blue hair which was worn in long bunches stretching below her knee with snow-white skin and blue sparkly eyes which were filled with curiosity while scanning every inch of his body. The other had the
