He clearly remembered the words written on the screen back then:
[Searching for suitable host] By no means was this body suitable; no, it was more like suicide. “System! What is the meaning of this? Why didn’t you tell me this is a magical world?” All his plans had just been blown away. There was no way that money was the most important thing here. ‘You were the one who assumed that, silly.’ He heard a voice, causing him to look around the room, alarmed. He recognized the voice—it was the same soothing voice that had spoken to him when the system first appeared, undoubtedly belonging to a female. “Who’s there? Who are you?” He couldn’t see anyone. If he told anyone about this in his former world, they’d just shake their heads and direct him to a psychiatric hospital. ‘Unfortunately for you, you can’t see me because I’m speaking directly into your mind. In a way, I’m within it.’ “Huh? Within my mind? How?” He wasn’t comfortable with this, and it would be worse if she could read what he was thinking. ‘Don’t worry, I can’t.’ “H…How did you know?” ‘……………’ “This little……….” ‘Well, that’s not important. You really need to know the basics of this world. Hence………’ [Does host choose to learn about himself using system info along with the memories of this body?] [Yes] [No] “Hey, AI, it’d be better if I do it, right?” he said with a raised eyebrow, staring at the words displayed on the screen. ‘What did you just call me?’ Art felt a chill run down his spine as cold sweat formed on his face, sensing the killing intent in her calm voice. In his previous life, he almost died many times—and even died—but he had never experienced anything like this. “I…I’m sorry. I’m new, so please go easy on me,” he stammered nervously, wondering if he was going to die again. ‘Fine,’ her voice returned to normal, somewhat lazy and bored. “So, may I know your name?” he asked but got a heartbreaking response. ‘You haven’t earned the right to.’ “Then I’ll just call you my guide.” He shrugged, and since she didn’t seem to oppose it, he focused back on the thing in front of him. He chose "Yes." [WARNING: All information will be downloaded directly into the host’s mind. Do you choose to proceed?] [Yes] [No] He selected "Yes," wondering why the system warned him—and soon found out. “Arghhhhhhhh!!!” he screamed in pain, grabbing his head and falling to the ground. This was the greatest pain he had ever felt. It was as though his brain was being stabbed by a hundred needles as new memories and information flooded in. This went on for a full minute before stopping. He still felt a lingering headache, but now he was much more enlightened. Just as he suspected, this world was truly one of magic, mystical creatures, and paranormal phenomena. This world was called Ghia, and he was in the kingdom of Hurin, one of the four kingdoms that made up the continent Silah. Hurin was the kingdom of humans and had two powerhouses, both politically and magically: the Royal Family and the Ten Great Families. The term "family" referred to those with abilities unique to their bloodline, though there were other families besides the Great Ten. It turned out he belonged to one of these families, the Silvers—one of the Great Ten—making his name Art Silver. The Silvers excelled by a large margin in physical capabilities and weapon handling. They didn’t need to be taught how to use weapons; it was already ingrained in their nature. The moment they came in contact with a weapon suitable for their body, they could wield it at a professional level without training. Their physical performance—speed, strength, endurance, and durability—was several times higher than others. But with this great gift came significant downsides. The magic capabilities of the Silvers were low, with some members below the average mage. They couldn’t use magic attributes like fire, wind, or others. So, magic-wise, they were undoubtedly the weakest among the Ten Great Families. Even so, no one dared to underestimate them. This wasn’t just because of their excellent weapon handling but also due to their innovative ways of using mana, which often shocked everyone. One of these innovations was the blue light covering the body, called "Mana Skin," first created by the Silvers. Although others had begun mastering this art, it remained a Silver hallmark. The former owner of this body was born with magical capabilities surpassing any Silver ever recorded, rivaling those of other families. His parents kept this a secret, informing only a few people for his safety, and had high expectations for him. But, as with most Silvers, a big disappointment followed. His body wasn’t strong enough to contain such immense magic. Various methods were used to boost his vitality, but they only prolonged his life as his overwhelming mana began eating away at his body. The former owner of this body knew all this and fell into solitude, completely depressed, while watching others train. His condition seemed to worsen. Whenever he tried to train, he fainted or sustained severe injuries. Once, he even dislocated his elbow just by swinging a sword. His father eventually banned him from training altogether. It was so pathetic—a Silver who couldn’t wield a weapon. The scorn he received was relentless. Just yesterday, he left the mansion without anyone’s knowledge and confronted three beasts to save a girl he had just met. He had no choice but to use magic, leaving a giant crater in the ground. A team was sent to retrieve him after he fell unconscious, and that was where his memories ended. He guessed he had died from exhaustion after using such a powerful spell. “This is so sad,” Art said emotionally, moved by the memories. ‘I agree with you on this one. Well, you’re him now, so you’d better work hard if you don’t want to end up like him. By the way, your death was just as pathetic.’ “Hahaha! You even started making wedding cards!” Art’s eyebrow twitched as he gritted his teeth in annoyance, wondering how much of him she really knew. Even his ex-fiancé didn’t know about the wedding cards. He felt it was unfair for her to use this against him, but it didn’t change the fact that she was right. He wanted to vent his anger on someone, but for that, he’d need a good body first. “But won’t this sickness also affect me?” he frowned. ‘Yes, but the system can easily stop this.’ “Really?” he said, his eyes lighting up. ‘You haven’t checked your status?’ “Oh!” he exclaimed, realizing this. He was about to open his status when her voice interrupted. ‘Looks like we have company.’ “Huh?” The door to his room suddenly flung open.

The Successor System The Journey begins
The ride wasn't a long one and they were now in a forest which was of course within the range they were allowed to go. Just as he anticipated, Racheal had brought him to this part of the forest which was mostly filled with a certain F-rank agility base beast. Beasts were separated into two classes. Normal and Magical. Magical unlike normal beasts could use mana and magic attributes, they also possessed mana cores just like humans. Mana cores were very important as almost everything runs with mana and they served like a battery. Both classes of beasts followed the same ranking. F-Rank E-Rank D-Rank C-Rank B-Rank A-Rank S-Rank S+ Rank Lesser beasts were from F to A-rank with A-rank and below being greater beasts. The cores produced by magical beasts also followed the same ranking. So this place was filled with the lowest rank of beasts but it was still too risky for someone like him. They both came out of the vehicle before glancing around. It seemed like they wer

His eyes were filled with wariness as he approached the wolf beast. He monitored every inch of its body to predict its movements which would cover up for his lack of speed. If he didn’t have all this training from his former world, his chances of victory would be nearly impossible but he did, which increased his probability of coming out victorious to 40 percent and this depended on his first attack, so he didn't plan on messing it up.This scenario reminded him of a time in his previous life when he had to defend himself from a crazy dog using a piece of broken glass and he emerged victorious with some injuries, most of which were caused by the weapon he used. Even though the weapon he wielded now was much better than any he had ever come across, this situation was worse than then.Racheal watched in worry as they both inched closer to each other with her heart racing and when they reached 10 meters apart, they both lunged forward. "How did he find out?" Art mumbled while chewing on a fruit. Garron had seen right through him before leaving—clearly, a man who'd dealt with plenty of children and teenagers in his life.Night had fallen, and the synchronized chorus of insects performed a gentle orchestral hum across the forest.Art was currently lying on the thick branch of a large tree, his gaze fixed on the dark sky overhead. This tree would serve as his home for the night, as he had decided not to return to Yuh’s family house. At this point, there wasn’t much reason to go back.Maybe they were expecting him tonight, which, disappointing them on his part, wasn’t great—but sometimes, plans got ruined by circumstance. After everything he had learned, wandering around—especially at night—wouldn’t be the safest move for him anymore. He stared down at the fruit in his hand, his expression shifting into a frown. Not long ago, he was indulging in mouth-watering meals and warm beds. Now, he was stuck with fruit.Sure, he

"I'm sorry for your loss. But I think you're making a mistake," Art said firmly. "You decided to throw your talent away because she was killed? Isn't that the same as letting her killer go free?"Garron's face dropped. "You never justified her death. Her killer must be out there, living quite the life.""You think I'm okay with that? There’s nothing I can do!" Garron burst out in a mix of sadness and frustration. "Trying to get revenge would only lead to more death.""And why is that?" Art pressed.Garron let out a sigh. "That armor I made for her, along with the artifacts, were the best I could produce. If her opponent destroyed even those... then anything else I make would be useless.""So, let me get this straight. You stopped crafting because you feel guilty for causing Jira's mother’s death, and you think your skills aren’t good enough to help bring her killer to justice?"Seeing no response, Art shook his head in disappointment. "So if there was a chance to help get rid of the

Its eye sockets flickered with soft blue light, as if watching everyone nearby. He glanced around cautiously."That must be it," he muttered, eyeing another building nearby before walking over.Art stopped in front of the building, now confident he’d found the right place. The building was tucked between two larger structures, yet it had a more special presence.Made from polished blackstone and silverwood, the shop had faintly glowing etchings across its s

Art walked back to where he’d left Kira. She immediately ran toward him the moment he came into view.Art could tell that staying alone was still very uncomfortable triggering for her after everything she’d gone through. "Are you alright?" he asked. She simply nodded, and they both left the area together.Art's next destination was to find an artifact blacksmith.Unlike weapon blacksmiths, who worked on creating or recreating weapons and armor, artifact blacksmiths handled other magical items—like the masks he had. Some blacksmiths were skilled enough to excel in both areas. But there was no way he’d find a good blacksmith in this place. He needed to go deeper into the city, to the mage districts—and taking Kira with him wouldn’t be ideal."Umm... Kira. I have to go to the main city. Under Art's watch, the shop owner loosened the fabric covering the box, exposing its design. The moment it was revealed, an ominous wave of mana surged outward."You might need to protect yourself with mana. It's dangerous," the man warned, raising his gaze to Art.Art wasn’t a newbie in dealings like this. In his former life, he had been exposed to similar situations since childhood. He had learned how to read people—their intentions, their unspoken words. The shop owner was conducting one final test to see if Art was truly worthy of the mask.If Art followed his advice and shielded himself with mana, it would signal that he wasn’t strong enough to naturally endure its aura. That would shatter the illusion of overwhelming strength he had carefully crafted. Someone at A or S-rank wouldn’t even flinch at something of this level, no matter how impressive it was. That said, Art could tell the mask's aura was genuinely dangerous. But he wasn’t about to let this opportunity slip away."Yo

Art spent the next ten days staying with them.Just like Yuh's father had said, the registration for the Grand Magus test began three days after Art's arrival. He had already registered a few days ago.Initially, he had planned to leave the day after he arrived, but Yuh’s parents insisted he stay at least until the test began. After all, he was still young and pretty much homeless. Yuh wasn’t sure if her parents would have let him stay had they known what he was capable of.Still, they offered him a roof over his head and plenty of food. With no other alternatives, he accepted. They were good people, and he wasn’t about to reject their kindness. But he wasn’t a freeloader either. The next day, he found a merchant willing to buy some of his items. The merchant couldn’t determine the exact value of the feathers Art had collected, so he offered a low price. Art was convinced they were worth much more, so he held onto them. Instead, he sold some low-grade mana cores—as absorbing them at
A way in
Art walked through the streets behind the girl, his arms folded across his chest. He tried to stay composed despite his inner turmoil. --- Moments ago "What did you say?" "I want to thank you properly, and you seem hungry. I can't be sure of anything except that we make lovely dishes at my home," the girl said. Art took a few seconds to reply. He might have been hungry, but he still had his pride. "Ehk-hem! I actually have somewhere to eat. But if you insist, I'll take you up on your offer," he said with a straight face. His reply seemed to please her as she smiled. "My name is Yuh. Please follow me." --- And that was how he ended up like this. He hadn’t paid much attention to her earlier, but now he gauged her physical appearance. She looked slightly older than him, with several injuries and bruises—probably from when she confronted those men. They walked for several minutes, passing many people and buildings along the way. This was the first time he was freely walki
An Angry Man is still a Hungry Man
Art never thought of himself as some kind of hero who saved every person he didn't know in distress without expecting anything in return. In fact, he considered that kind of mindset foolish—a pointless waste of time, energy, and effort. A simple thank you wasn't enough to justify the trouble. People might call him self-centered for thinking this way, but he didn’t care. That was just how he saw the world. But there were some things even he couldn't ignore. Some acts so vile they crossed a line, and this was one of them. For someone with a 25-year-old mentality—perhaps even older, considering the memories of the life he had replaced—certain things struck a nerve. Especially when he had two younger sisters, though from different worlds. Hearing what these men had done… It triggered something in him. His golden eyes glowed as mana gathered around him, the air shifting with his rising energy. Both men instinctively took a few steps back. 'Wait… he's a mage too? But he looked so
