They all kept staring at the wall where she previously stood in surprise and confusion.“Drake, what was that?” A boy beside the leader boy asked.“I guess she was right,” he responded as the confident and now excited smile on his face returned. He walked towards the wall and stood in front of it for some seconds before also walking in. Seeing him do this, everyone began to follow suit, and Art who was still being held against his will was pulled along with the shorter boy by the excited Beatrix. She didn’t even hesitate before jumping through the wall along with them. They felt a twist in space before appearing in a place that looked like…..well—space. Art felt that he would keep falling as it looked like an endless abyss but his legs made contact with something which he couldn’t see. It seemed transparent. It was pitch black all around and the only sources of like were the orbs floating above which looked like stars in the night sky.“So this is the Cave of Alchemy,” Art said in adm
"What the!” He exclaimed, subconsciously grabbing his chest but the orb had already gone in. ‘It went into me right?’‘Obviously.’He couldn't help but remember Lord Gajeel's words. 'The higher an orb is suspended from the ground, the more potential it's likely to have.’The height, the glow, even the size, everything about those two orbs screamed weakness. He couldn't believe it. He was doomed. His guide let out a deep sigh.‘I guess you got the screwdriver after all.’‘Shut the fuck up!’ He screamed internally.‘Yea!’ She also screamed like a scared little girl. ‘Who knows, maybe you're the one who jinx me earlier,’ he frowned.‘I’m innocent.’He wasn't going to fall for it this time.‘Your nothing but innocent.’ 'Then how do you want me to ease you? Oh! I got one. While you bath I'll……..’'Argggh!’ Art exclaimed. She was just too impossible. He had been having problems with bathing because of her. If it was up to him, he wouldn’t, but then again he had to.He headed back to wher
Opening his eyes, Art found himself in an endless space with white glowing ground and a beautiful night sky with blue and green lights similar to an aurora. It felt so peaceful in here that even he was surprised. “Wait! Did I die?” He muttered in confusion as he fell into contemplation. "But how?” “Maybe I couldn't handle the mana pressure back there.” He looked around once more. “Then is this heaven or something.” “Heaven?” He heard the voice of a little girl which from behind and he turned back immediately. His gaze fell on not one but two girls. Both of them were the cutest thing he had ever seen. They seemed to be twelve years old and looked alike in all aspects except for their hair and eye colour. One of them had blue hair which was worn in long bunches stretching below her knee with snow-white skin and blue sparkly eyes which were filled with curiosity while scanning every inch of his body. The other had the
~Puchi~[You killed F-rank virac spider][+10 EXP] Art pulled out his dagger from the head of the spider-like creature about half his size.He was currently in another part of the forest filled with these beasts. Even the trail of bodies behind him said it all. After wiping out the entire black wolf from their territory, he focused his attention on this place and was proud to say that he had almost done the same here. *Cough*This was just a bus stop to his actual target. It took him some time to do the math but he figured it out.He wasn’t the best at school back then in his former life but at least he picked up some things. He could remember three major things that could cause migration and he believed they were also applicable to this world. So the red-eyed rabbits back then migrated because of either one of these. First, climate change which was obviously not the case. The second was lack of food which he also doubted and lastly, predators. If this last option was correct, it me
The beast in front of him as he assumed truly blended in with this environment. A completely green mantis. Well, this wasn’t just any mantis as it was 3 feet tall with a masculine frame and numerous sharp teeth which had blood stains most likely from a recent meal.It stared viciously at him with its yellow slit eyes. Its forelegs or arms as some people may refer to had sharp edges like a blade and just by looking at it, he could tell that if he wasn’t careful, he would end up in at least two halves. The grip on his dagger tightened as he took a fighting stance. He would’ve preferred to move back where there was less grass but he didn’t think it was wise to move yet with a beast such as this which could attack at any time.He planned on wheeling them backwards during the fight. Just like with the wolves, he was observing it closely and could already tell that it would be more difficult to predict. After all, this was an E-ranked beast.
The rustling of the grasses by the wind along with the drops of blood falling from them were the only sounds being made as two faces stared at each other. One, a man, and the other a beast. Art could feel the effects of losing much blood and had to end this quickly but he knew that his performance would be affected, so he had to take this with extreme caution as a slip might end his life.He also stood still because his foe was in a worse state than him with a deep cut in its throat which prevented it from using its magic ability and it was still a beast despite its little intelligence, so surely it was going to attack first and he wasn’t wrong. It ran towards him with unsteady steps. Art had already leveled down the grasses around him which could limit his movement so he didn’t plan on moving from this spot as his brain calculated at a stunning rate how to counter and kill it.Most E-ranks won’t be able to handle something like this not just because of strength, but also experience.
~Puff~~Puff~“Pwahahahaha!” She burst into laughter as Art’s face turned red with different emotions rising within him. The thing on his hand, or better put, his true weapon or what it was supposed to be, didn’t seem like a weapon at all.He was holding onto a ball about the same size as a peeled coconut fitting perfectly on his hand.It was shiny silver in colour being perfectly smooth. This would’ve been pleasing to the eyes if it wasn’t supposed to be a weapon so it looked useless in his. What the hell was he supposed to do with this, play catch with his enemies? Even the screwdriver would've been better. The process of all this thinking was developing into a headache along with his guide who wasn’t making matters any better. He began to subconsciously grip the ball harder. After laughing to her satisfaction, she voiced out. ‘Say, I take my words back about your luck. You keep surprising me in ways I don’t expect. So….., how does it work?’ “DON’T FUCKING ASK ME THAT! How the h
After arriving in the mansion, he headed for his room which was somewhat difficult as he had to avoid being sighted because of his state. He somehow managed to pull it off before cleaning himself up and bandaging some of his wounds. The materials of the bandages had some healing properties. So it just didn’t serve as a cover for the injuries. He put on a new set of clothes including a long-sleeved hoody, so most of the bandages were concealed. After sitting aimlessly for some time, he decided to check out the underground training arena. He had gone there several times in the past two weeks even having the luxury to complete level 4 and now he wanted to see how much he could fare against level 5. The hallway was quiet, well, it wasn’t as though it was usually noisy. Most of them were still learning how to use and control their true weapons better. They had all done the weapon-sealing ritual with their true weapons which would finalize the bond between them.It wasn’t hard as they j
