His words stung, but Oliver knew he had to respond. He couldn't keep quiet and watched his son-in-law play an emotional game with everyone.

“I did what I had to do to survive and be respected. I know people respect others if they are above them.”

He said, his voice shaking.

“I never meant to hurt anyone. And I never forced you to agree; you accept peacefully now you want to blame me for it.”
