Chapter Five

Damien was still surprised at how the Alexander family went down so quickly. with an offended look on his face.

"Let me see how the Bernard family will get away from this; I'm so going to deal with them to the point they will start giving respect to the beggars."

The Bernard family has been humiliating Damien after what happened between him and Megan. Nobody gave him a listening ear; all of them shut him up whenever he tried to explain what happened. He was not surprised at how wicked the Bernard family really is, but it's time to make them pay for everything they did to him.

"I will see what that good-for-nothing Dennis and his daughter will do when I'm done with them."

Damien took his bath and changed his clothes. He was on his way to the hospital when he saw Terry and Doris standing as if they had been struck by lightning.

"What is going on here?"

 Damien asked

Terry's phone was still in his ear; his mouth was opened, but he couldn't say anything.

Damien faced Doris.

"What is going on? Can someone talk to me? Did grandfather die?"

Damien knows Benjamin must have delivered his message; he was only pretending to be unaware of the situation.

Terry walked up to Damien with furrowed eyebrows.

"You're coming with us; my father called for an emergency family meeting, and you're coming with us."

Damien acted surprised.

"I thought you said I'm no longer a member of the family; why am I invited?"

Doris was still afraid of the outcome of the meeting; her thoughts were everywhere. Megan's silly and stubborn attitude brought them to this situation; if she had followed her grandfather's instructions of aborting the child, they wouldn't have been in this condition now, and this bastard still has the guts to talk after what he has done.

"Shut up your mouth, you bastard! You still have guts to speak."

She looks at Damien with narrowed eyes.

"You're going to do whatever we ask you to do; you don't have a word of your own here, you worthless fool."

Damien only agreed to go with them because he wanted to see the looks on the Bernard family's faces.

Sir Bernard was sitting down with a confused look on his face; most of the family members were present.

Damien was sitting by the corner; he hadn't seen some of the faces present at the emergency meeting.

Sir Bernard spoke.

"Globex Corporation just terminated the contract we signed with them."

The entire room was silent; nobody dared say anything.

"I will ask everyone here, and you're going to give me an answer now."

He smashed his hand on the table.

"If I find out myself the person responsible for this mess, He or she should count himself lucky if he or she sees tomorrow."

Nobody could even sniff a word; the room was cast in total silence as they looked at one another in disbelief.

Dennis, Sir Bernard's first son, pointed at Damien.

" father I'm 100% sure it was the scene this fool showed yesterday at the opening ceremony that made them terminate our contract with them. I'm very sure."

Lady Helen had a disturbing look on her face. Megan disappointed her by getting pregnant for this bastard, and now the only hope she had to celebrate her luxurious birthday this year is gone.

"I told you before that both of them should have been kicked out of this family, but you decided to let them get married and see what it resulted in."

She covered her face with her hands.

"Father, what are we going to do now?"

 Dennis uttered

At that moment, Christopher entered the room. Everyone was surprised Mr. Christopher was here. Sir Bernard quickly stood up from his chair and walked towards Mr. Christopher.

"We're sorry for what happened at the opening ceremony yesterday. Please forgive us."

 Christopher smiles 

" Sir Bernard It's okay, you handled that scumbag perfectly yesterday."

"If you're not mad at us, why was our contract terminated, Mr. Christopher?"

Sir Bernard was very polite when speaking with Christopher; he is the Marketing director of Globex Corporation. Sir Bernard knows he's a big shot and only he can save them from this mess. He wonders why he's here.

"Sir Bernard, don't worry yourself about it; I can get you back that contract and even more, but I have a condition."

Sir Bernard's eyes widened.

"Say it, Mr. Christopher, anything at all, we will get it done."

Christopher pointed at Megan.

"You would let me get married to Megan; I want her to be my wife."

Sir Bernard raised eyebrows. He was surprised that that was his request.

"Mr. Christopher, please don't pull my legs; you want to get married to Megan; that is your request."

"Yes, Mr. Bernard."

Sir Bernard smiles widely.

"Consider it done, Mr. Christopher."

Lady Helen quickly joined the conversation.

"Mr. Christopher, if you want her to follow you home now, consider it done; she is already your wife."

Damien, with tightly pressed lips, couldn't believe this fool was trying to take advantage of the situation he created.

‘I'm going to humiliate him this minute.

He texted Benjamin

[I want Christopher to be sacked this minute.He's at the Bernard family house, and he also increased the ban on the Bernard family.]

Benjamin texted back.

[It's done, young master, and the director of Globex Corporation is on her way there now.]

Lady Helen shouted at Megan.

"Will you stand up and come greet your husband!!?"

Megan was not happy, but she lacks the courage to speak, which annoys Damien. He hates when people can't speak up for themselves.

Damien stood up before Megan could move.

"What are you doing?!" I want to make myself clear. Megan is still my wife; you can't take her away from me."

The scene made everyone lose their voice; they all stared at him. Christopher was also surprised this fool was still here.

"You're still here; who do you think you are? I can see Mr. Bernard didn't finish you yesterday."

Christopher, with relaxed eyes

"I won't take it easy on you this time; you better leave here this minute before I make this phone call."

Damien with narrowed eyes

"If not for the people here, I would have so dealt with you that you would cry for mercy, but mercy wouldn't come."

Terry quickly utters:

Please, Mr. Christopher, you clearly see he's mad. Let me deal with him. So sorry for the embarrassment."

"I'm going to teach him a lesson he won't forget in a hurry."

Christopher was about to make the call.

At that moment, director Evelyn entered the room, and Christopher was shocked. He quickly ran to her.

"Director Evelyn, it's such a surprise to see you here; I was only informing them of our decisions to terminate the contract."

Christopher and Sir Bernard know it is hard to see director Evelyn, but for her to be present at their house today smells like doom. Director Evelyn steps forward with a heavy slap on Christopher's face.

Christopher couldn't say anything as he was holding his face. He believed director Evelyn must have found out his plans, so he quickly went on his knees.

"I'm sorry, director Evelyn. Mr. Bernard here wanted me to marry his granddaughter, but I refused. I was here this morning to tell them it won't happen and give them a big warning not to utter such a thing again."

Everyone was shocked by Christopher's acting.
