Chapter Ninety-Five

Outside the Mark-High dress shop, there was a murmur of bewilderment and resentment. Today, a large crowd of enthusiastic customers had gathered to do their dress shopping. They were aware of the 20% discount and intended to take advantage of it, but they were denied access into the store, much to their surprise and sorrow.

“What's going on, Mindy?”

“How come they aren't letting us in?”

Sarah exclaimed, obviously perplexed by the scenario.

“I'm not sure, Sarah. This is extremely aggravating! I was really looking forward to buying that dress for tonight's party.”

Mindy replied, her voice somewhat irritated.As bewilderment spread, the crowd's whispers and murmurs became louder.

“I heard that it's because of the 20% discount that they're refusing us entry.”

“There's just too many people here.”

Mark, a concerned shopper, interjected.

“Oh no, I really hope that's not the case.”

“I really want that 20% discount so I can get that dress; it's because of the discount that I'm here today,”
