Chapter 27: Insignificant

Mr. Hayden was getting pissed at his confidence level.

He had expected him to be whimpering because of the conditions he was reeling out for him.

At this point, he was getting convinced that Raymond killed the job on his own, but he couldn't voice it out because of Mr. Brooks.

Earlier, Mr. Brooks had asked him to make sure he frustrates Raymond, saying he knew he had gone through corners so that he would keep his job and impress him.

Left for him alone, he would have let him be, but his boss was going to relieve him of his job.

Acting as an angel at the expense of his job was a no-no for him.

“I know why you are confident,” he said to resume the conversation.

“That is?”

“You think I would allow you to go home and meet your helper? No way, that's the last thing on my mind”

“So where do you want me to be for 72 hours?” Raymond scoffed.

He never imagined the conversation was going to take this turn.

Snapping his head at the screen, he saw Mr. Brooks smiling back at him.
