Chapter 64: A Plague

The fact that Fred wasn't picking up didn't mean he wasn't seeing her calls. He was just skeptical to do so because it was one of the things he hated: being a part of the drama that was going to trend online.

Also, he didn't want to have issues with James who had asked him to stay off his family while he was processing his divorce papers.

In fact, ever since the divorce, they haven't spoken. He had no idea where he was, nor what he was up to.

The evening of the second day of Sarah's persistent call, he had just returned from work when his wife accosted him.

With her hands across her chest, she walked up to him with a large frown. Wondering what he had done wrong, he slowly took off his suit, not taking his eyes off her even for a moment.

"Tell me, is everything alright?" He asked when she didn't say anything after a while.

"Who is Sarah? She has been calling for days now and whenever I'm around, you don't pick up her calls."
