Chapter 72: Trapped

After sprinkling water on Raymond's face for more than two minutes and still, there was no sign of life, Julia decided to call the paramedics.

Perceiving her next move, Raymond suddenly sat up, rubbing his nape as he looked around pretending not to know what happened.

"Are you alright?" She asked, peering closely at him.

"Yeah. What happened?" He muttered, trying to rise but she held him down, only to wrap her hand around his waist and then lead him to his room.

She made him comfortable on his bed before exiting only to return a few minutes later with his dinner on the tray.

"Please eat up so you can regain your strength quickly." She said as she set the tray beside him on the bed.

After having dinner, he pretended to fall asleep, making Julia leave with the tray.

Left alone in his room, Raymond sat up. Grabbing his head with both hands, he sat up on his bed.

"Why must I meet villains on the way?" he muttered, climbing down from his bed.
