A Morning Workout

For what Irving did in the school earlier in the day, the school wouldn't punish him too severely. At most, it would be a warning for disrupting the order of the class. After all, the school had been unfair in its previous handling of this so-called "bad student". Rabbits would bite people when they were anxious, let alone humans.

In the end, the school just "kindly" asked Irving to go home to recuperate, and just come back for the final exam as a formality. Irving didn't feel aggrieved by the school's handling of the situation. He had even asked for this decision himself a long time ago but failed in his effort.

After walking out of the school gate, he glanced back at the dozen or so security guards who watched him leave, with a wry smile on his face.

After returning home and putting away his books, brought back from school, he sat on a chair and stared at his injured hands that he had neglected. Although they no longer hurt, they needed treatment. The wound opening on the hand had long disappeared under the thickened blood that had turned into dark red condensation and stuck to the hand, looking a bit scary.

After looking at it for a moment, he knew that even if he stared at it, he wouldn't be able to see a single flow of blood. Irving thought silently in his mind after making up his mind. "Spirit Guide!"

A moment later, a shadow appeared in front of his eyes. "You called me?"

Irving didn't know if this lady knew what happened, so he patiently told the story exactly as it happened, and then raised his hand to her.

"The Supreme fetus has changed your physique. There's nothing strange about it." After listening to Irving's statement, Caden's tone was calm and there was no further explanation. Since Caden's face could not be seen clearly, Irving did not notice that she was hesitant to speak.

"Wait a minute!" A thought suddenly flashed through Irving's mind, and he caught it in time and asked. "You said before that inheritors are the opposite of Bings and their deaths are the most vicious ones. Are people like me who have never practiced conveyance are just passively affected by that? But are the inheritors  who the so-called Supreme fetus have transformed their bodies not considered conveyors?"

"Generally speaking, you are not considered a conveyor yet." Caden seemed to know what Irving was thinking. He paused and continued. "However, a toothless tiger is still a tiger and will not be treated as a cat. I hope you understand this. "

Irving was not stupid at all, so he understood Caden's euphemistic words very clearly, but he was a little annoyed. He didn't ask for all of these. "Then can you take that supreme fetus out of my body?"

"There are many ways I can do that." Caden said with a hint of grandeur in her tone: "But there is a prerequisite, and that is the certainty that the host must die."

"..." Irving was speechless. He would rather live like this for a month without going to school than to die with regrets.

Ding!!!

The urgent sound of the alarm clock filled the room as usual, indicating morning time. Four O'clock to be precise.

According to what Caden said, early morning training would develop his body, and late evening practice would build up his energy. Therefore, Irving had to get up two hours earlier every day to practice conveyance skills.

During this period, he kept asking Caden what the so-called dangers of th inheritors were, but the result he got was a look of contempt on her face that he wouldn't even understand.

Nonetheless, it was worth mentioning that as Irving continued to practice, the fog on Caden's face gradually dissipated. "I guess when I achieve great success, I'll be able to see this woman's true face."

After two hours of practice, it was already six o'clock in the morning. Irving casually put on his sports clothes and ran out the door.

Mountain Elber was a famous scenic spot in Hudson City and a national scenic spot, so there were many people doing exercises, yoga training, and combat arts here every day. Some preferred doing morning jogs.

Irving was one of them. For him, who had recently been practicing the art of combats and conveyance, going up and down mountains was like walking on flat ground. He had only one purpose of running now, which was to regulate the energy in his body.

On the way back and forth for the third time, an old man who seemed to be seen every day stopped him kindly and said: "Young man, you have to persevere as a human being and reach the top of the mountain. You don't just give up halfway, if not, it won't make the slightest difference on your body."

In the eyes of the old man, this young man just jumped up a few steps and came down. Originally, the old man was not a troubled person, but he met this young man for more than ten days in a row, which showed that he also had some problems. He had a heart for training, so the old man casually gave some advice to save the young man from making detours.

Irving smiled bitterly and accepted the old man's suggestion. He couldn't tell the man the truth about himself. He must have reached the top of the mountain and then ran down.

After thanking the old man respectfully, Irving slowed down his march towards the top of the mountain, always hanging behind the old man. Sometimes, when the old man looked back, he would pretend to be exhausted.

After half an hour of trekking and jogging, the two arrived at the small oak shelter, halfway up the mountain.

The old man narrowed his eyes and stared at Irving, who was bent over and pretended to be gasping for breath, and muttered. "Young man, do be hard on yourself. With more training, your body will adjust."

Irving stopped breathing, rolled his eyes, straightened up and exhaled, saying bitterly: "I'm exhausted, but you're not. You're in better shape than me, sir."

"It's nothing." The old man didn't seem to hear Irving's words. When Irving straightened up, he turned around and looked at the fog tide that had not dissipated in the distance from the shelter with his hands behind his back. He said lightly. "You see, the most important thing about climbing a mountain is to remember to go fast and slow. From the time you followed me to the halfway point of the mountain, I changed gears a total of forty-nine times along the way. I originally wanted to teach you some tips for exercising because of your perseverance, but I didn’t expect that you could actually keep up.”

Irving looked at the back of the old man. He didn't expect that climbing a mountain required so much details, but during this period together, he noticed that the old man's speed was sometimes fast and other times, slow. However, as a rookie, he didn't know the meaning of this. Now he was put on the spot. Sorry, it was a bit embarrassing.

He knew the old man wanted to trick him into revealing what was happening, but Irving had already thought of a countermeasure: "Sir, maybe I just hppen to have better endurance than others. I have been determined to be a mountain climber since I was a child."

The old man didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He turned around and stared at this ignorant and ignorant guy who had only been tricked by himself. He raised his hand and said helplessly. "You..."

Before the old man could finish speaking, a woman's scream interrupted him.

"Help!!!"

Although the voice was low, the old man and Irving were both aware that it was from a human. They looked at each other and turned to look towards the top of the mountain.

"What's going on?" The old man tilted his head with a hint of curiosity.

Without even thinking, Irving rushed out of the oak shelter and ran towards the top of the mountain. Did someone came to this tourist resort early in the morning to rob others?A glint flashed in his eyes, and he turned into the seemingly pathless dense mountain forest.
