Aftermath
After a while, Xena took out a tissue from her schoolbag and wiped Irving's stained lips in a caring manner.

Drinking liquor for two hours was not a big deal given Irving's inheritor background, but after drinking a pound of industrial alcohol for two hours, he was drunk. Irving had not become a saint physically. If he drank too much alcohol, it wouldn't do any harm to his body, but he would get drunk.

"Mom, don't leave me." Just as Xena was wiping Irving's mouth, Irving suddenly raised his hand and held Xena's hand tightly.

"Ouch." Xena gasped in pain and glanced up in anger. She saw the boy standing next to her whose red eyes were hazy, with tears and alcohol mixed together. He looked really pitiful. Or perhaps they were in sympathy with each other. Xena, who should have withdrawn, endured the heart-piercing pain in her hand and let Irving squeeze it.
