A relieved breath escaped the lips of the giant ape. It then lay down beside Arya and resumed the sleep that had been interrupted.

The following morning, Arya opened his eyes to the sound of commotion coming from outside.

Sarwana himself had already left before the sun rose on the eastern horizon. He was waiting for Rengga and his two companions in the forest, as per their agreement.

"Why am I here?" he wondered. Arya vividly remembered the hut he had occupied for the past few weeks in the Panguripan Gorge.

The last thing he remembered was feeling short of breath and seeing spots before passing out after killing Sunarya.

Meanwhile, the commotion outside was caused by the bluish light that had emerged from the hut the previous night. Dozens of monkeys living in the Panguripan Gorge were curious about the event and were discussing it enthusiastically.

As Arya opened the door to the hut, dozens of monkeys swarmed around him. Being able to understand their language, he stood dumbfounded a

The heavy thud of his body hitting the ground echoed, accompanying the terrified cries of Rengga’s friend.Arya chuckled at Sarwana’s antics. He vividly recalled being dropped from a treehouse once. The difference this time was that Rengga’s friend didn’t utter a single curse, still in shock from the ordeal.Rengga and his other companions stood frozen, stunned to see their friend emerge unscathed, despite being thrown—or rather, dropped—from a height of about eight meters.“What kind of sorcery is this?” Rengga asked in disbelief.“Want to try it yourself to find out?” Arya retorted with a sly grin.“No way! I’m terrified of heights,” Rengga replied with a shiver.Sarwana, who had just des

"Sorry, there’s a black smudge at the tip of your nose," Arya said, pointing at the black stain on the tip of his index finger."It’s okay," Ratnasari’s face flushed with embarrassment. The fierce demeanor she usually wore in her martial school melted away when treated so kindly by Arya."Well, the chicken is done," Arya said as he lifted the roasted chicken from the fire and placed it on a teak leaf he had prepared, wrapping it tightly."Why wrap it? You said it was done," Ratnasari asked, curious.Arya smiled and explained, "The purpose is to trap the smoke inside the chicken. It won’t escape and will infuse back into the meat. You’ll notice the difference once you taste it."Ratnasari nodded, listening intently. She realized there was still much to learn about the outside world. If she stayed confined within her martial school, she wouldn’t grow, especially when faced with situations where she had to leave the school one day. After a while, Arya unwrapped the teak leaf and pulled o

Reksapati smiled and then walked out of his tent, calling for Suroto, who happened to be passing by.“What is it, Chief?” asked the man, who always carried a large mace wherever he went.“Tell all our members there’s been a change in plans. Tomorrow morning, at first light, we move out to attack!” Reksapati ordered.“You mean not today, Chief? Isn’t the location already nearby?” Suroto asked, puzzled.“I’ve learned from what happened yesterday, Suroto. Our men were slaughtered because we underestimated the situation. It’s already late afternoon. If we leave now, we’ll arrive at night, and we’ll have to search for their location in the dark, which we don’t even know. What happened yesterday also took place at night. They’ll have the upper hand in the dark, especially since they know the terrain better than we do,” Reksapati explained.“Chief, your foresight is remarkable. It’s no wonder you dominate the southern region,” Suroto flattered, nodding in agreement.Reksapati responded with

Before Arya could ask, Sarwana began explaining. “The sword that girl carried once belonged to Reksapati, the leader of the Devil Eagle Sect. If I’m not mistaken, the sword’s name is The Twin Devil Eagle Swords. If the sword is in the forest, it’s highly likely that Reksapati isn’t far either.”Arya was stunned in disbelief. Of course, he was shocked to learn that the girl might be part of the Devil Eagle Sect. Yet, one thing left him utterly bewildered: he couldn’t deny that his heart had already become attached to someone who was the daughter of one of the prominent figures of a dark sect.“Does that mean they’re seeking revenge for the deaths of their members we slaughtered?”“Most likely,” Sarwana replied, a hint of regret in his voice. “And it seems one of their members escaped our massacre yesterday and reported back to Reksapati.”“So, what should we do now? Are we going to fight them like we did yesterday?” Arya asked. He still hoped the girl he met earlier wasn’t a member of

So I hope this fight ends here."Monk Red Venom was surprised by what his comrade said. He didn’t expect the one known as the Serpent King Warrior to surrender so easily.Reso hadn’t exactly said the word “surrender,” but by offering to end the fight, it was essentially the same thing."About my men—I’ll order them to withdraw, Warrior," Reso added."What are you doing, Reso? The powerful strike he launched missed completely, striking only the sandy ground and sending a thick cloud of dust into the air. His vision was quickly obscured, leaving him unable to see where his opponent had gone.Fortunately, the strong mountain wind soon dispersed the dust cloud. When visibility returned, the old man saw that the young warrior was no longer in front of him."Don’t you run

The sound is coming from up there!" Her slender index finger pointed to a spot."If you train your senses often enough, you can hear even the slightest sound without needing deep focus. You can even sense someone's suppressed energy, though the limit is usually only if their inner strength is no more than one level above yours," Arya explained."Really? But didn’t you once say we can’t sense the energy of someone whose level is above ours?" Ratnasari asked."That was my old thinking. But during my disappearance, I learned many new things, some quite different from the usual beliefs of most warriors," Arya replied. His gaze returned to the spot Ratnasari had pointed out earlier."We’d better go check it out up there," he added."Hmm.

Rengga could only nod slowly. He knew very well who Arya was and what his nature was like. The young man had never once put himself first before thinking about others. In his heart, Rengga promised to keep the message the young man had given him. To prioritize the interests of the people over his own personal interests. As the afternoon approached, Arya and Ratnasari bid farewell to King Wijaya Kusuma, Prime minister Bayu Aji, Rengga, and all the officials present in the palace hall. The departure of the pair of warriors who had been consecrated as the great heroes of the Jaya Buana kingdom left sadness for everyone who knew and understood their exploits. Unexpectedly for Arya and Ratnasari, their departure plans leaked out and spread throughout every corner of Capital. Since noon, almost all the residents of Capital had gathered in a row along the road from in front of the palace to outside the gate. They w

A huge question immediately popped into Arya's mind. "What could the Jaya Buana ruler possibly want in my room at this late hour? Is it something so important that he had to come see me?" "Why are you so surprised to see me? May I come in?" King Wijaya Kusuma asked, his smile radiating strong friendship. The question startled Arya, who was still frozen in shock at the sudden arrival of King Wijaya Kusuma. "Oh, uh... Please, Your Majesty. Consider it your own home," the young man replied, opening his room door wide. King Wijaya Kusuma chuckled softly. "How could you possibly tell me to consider your palace my home?" "Oh, yes..." Arya became even more awkward and flustered at the small mistake he had made. King Wijaya Kusuma walked into the room and chose a chair to sit on. After closing the room door, Arya walked towards the king. As he was facing a king, Arya stood with his head bowed. "Hahaha

Standing before Ratnasari, Prince Purbaya bowed his head. All eyes in the hall were on him. "I apologize for all the wrongs I have done to you," he said, not daring to look at Ratnasari's face. Shame was the most accurate word to describe his current feelings. Ratnasari, still angry at the man, turned her face away. Coincidentally, Arya was looking at her and gave her a slight glare. With a nod, the handsome young man signaled for his lover to forgive Prince Purbaya, even if it was just a formality. Ratnasari put on a sour face. In her heart, she found it very difficult to forgive Prince Purbaya. But be
