Chapter 4(Reunion)

It was a casual Friday,Rob was busy trekking home from school. It has been quite a happy day for him,he was selected among the students to join the school main football team. Football was one of the few things that makes him happy. He walked happily down the Beverly street despite the harshness of the sun.

As he got near his house, Crewell house,his mood changed on realizing that there might not be food left for him. He was meant to meet Crewell at his office at school for food money. He was very hungry and immediately he realized how weak he was. He was almost home,he just have to hope that Crewell was home already or wait for Crewell to get back.

As he approached their old apartment he noticed some black suited men standing on akimbo. They looked mean, focused and there were standing close to three black Rolls-Royce cars. From their appearance he could tell that they were working for someone powerful and wealthy but what he couldn't ascertain was what such Calibre of people would be doing at Beverly let alone being near their own decapitated apartment.

He, for a moment wanted to run but optioned against it,he couldn't remember doing anything wrong so he approached and greeted but none of them responded. He again took keen to his journey and went upstairs. As he approached his apartment series he saw the same black suited men that has close resemblance with those he saw while coming up. He noticed that they were two more in front of their weak apartment door,at that moment be came frightened thinking that maybe Crewell creditors have come to collect their money.

He immediately rushed to ascertain for himself and kill the curiosity building up in him but to his surprise,he saw a well dressed Man,he must be the leader,he thought to himself. He saw his guardian,Mr Crewell conversing freely with the strange man and for that moment felt relieved. Rob was introduced to Diego by Mr Crewell, Diego looked at him and was never in doubt about wether if he was his son. He was a carbon copy of him. Even though he reacted swiftly to the letter he still had his doubts about how genuine the letter was.

It was a shocking news for Rob,he couldn't believe it,his mother told him that his father was dead but here he was introducing himself as his father. To him it was one of these scenes he sees atimes in movies. He wasn't sure on how to feel, wether to be happy knowing that his father is alive and rich or angry that he left his sweet mother to suffer and die. The later made him more bitter especially remembering the ordeal that his mother went through despite his father being alive and healthy. He took for his heel and ran off despite the effort put by Diego's men to get hold of him. He didn't come back home for days,he slept under an uncompleted buildings for days. He swore never to have anything to do with his father.

Diego was very unhappy,he felt like something was missing in his life,he felt very empty,he was greatly troubled especially now he couldn't pin point his exact location. He regretted his approach and prayed to God to protect his son. He searched for Rob during this few days that he ran off but never found him. At Rob's home, when Rob came back, Mr Crewell pleaded with him to forgive his father and leave with him but to no avail. He seriously admonished the benefits he stand to gain from his father. He was so stubborn that despite every persuasion made by Diego and Crewell.

Diego was advised by Crewell to give Rob time and space, promising him that he must surely come by. He obeyed but monitored his son movement waiting for the day his son will forgive him. At the Royale castle, everyone noticed the gloomy and unhappy mood that Diego portray during this period but they couldn't discern what could be the problem. He kept it from everyone except his younger brother Lois Manik who he confided in.

After six months, just two months shy of Rob's thirteen birthday,Rob got himself into a fight with a long time bully at Liberty town,Ruiz and unfortunately for Ruiz,Rob broke his nose and ran off. Ruiz have always picked up on Rob especially any time he visits Liberty street to get some groceries. He though never expected any much drama but to his dismay Ruiz father,Dr. Gonzalez was rich and exerted a lot of power and influence at Liberty and Beverly town.

Gonzalez was determined to teach Rob a lesson,he was given two options; either to pay the astronomical hospital fee of his son or get beaten like his son was. After all he was the reason why his son is in the hospital. At this point Rob was stranded and regretted his decision to fight Ruiz even though he has been a pain on his ass for a long time now.

Just when it was about to go wild for Rob,his father marched into the hospital with his entourage and immediately power shifted from Gonzalez to Rob's side. "How dare you touch my son"Diego roared furiously. Gonzalez and his men on realizing who was before them knelt and was pleading for their lives. He was freed by Diego but not without stern warning to stay clear of anything relating to his son. Diego was made know of the panicking situation by Mr Crewell, Diego left his number with him the last time he came around.

Rob was relieved and amazed by the power his father posses but still was not happy to see him. This time Rob listened to Diego and Mr Crewell plead and decided to obey this time around. He embraced Mr Crewell tearfully and promised never to forget him. Mr Crewell was rewarded handsomely by Diego and told not to feel shy to reach out to them for anything. Rob had mixed feelings about moving with his father but was really tired of his miserable life. He was prepared for the adventures ahead.
