CHAPTER 36: FRIENDLY-ENEMIES.

Joey returned to his seat having watched the broadcast. Everyone wondered who would take over from Mr Bishop. Not long after, he saw Mr Cornell walk in.

"Excuse me sir," Joey said to Mr Cornell, as the conference meeting was over, and he had returned back to the office complex.

"Yes Joey," Mr Cornell responded, giving attention to what Joey had to say this time, assuming it was still about what happened earlier.

"About the news sir, who would succeed the boss?" Joey asked Mr Cornell.

"For now, I am as oblivious as you are on this matter," Mr Cornell said.

"You mean, you don't know as well?" Joey asked.

"Yeah, I don't know. Let just hope the new CEO does not restructure the entire system," Mr Cornell said. Joey shrugged, not minding it.

"By the way, I came to meet you for a different purpose sir," Joey said.

"What is it?" Mr Cornell asked.

"I would like to take the day off tomorrow from work sir. There is something very important I need to attend
