Reginaldo and George have coffee at the Mountain Cafe after paying a few months' rent on the loft. George delights in the creamy, minty coffee.

"Reggie, you've never bought me a coffee in this coffee shop. What's going on?"

Reginaldo continues mysteriously, "Let's just say things are changing for the better, buddy."

George continues stubbornly to refuse, "I can't accept this. You're burning your meager savings..."

Reginaldo puts his hand firmly on George's free hand.

"George, just STOP! I've told you three hundred times that I'm fine, that I won't need this money! You talk as if I'm unworthy of spending money on fancy things!"

"Excuse me, Reggie."

Reginaldo takes a deep breath and controls his voice, "As I told you, I have spent these three years saving what I earn from the popsicles. The help I've given you will be the beginning of many things I intend to do. I won't be on the Ferreira family's tab forever."

George becomes interested, "Um, what has changed?"
