Chapter 216 You're Funny

Arriving at Ferreira's house as night falls, Reginaldo gets out of the car, stares at the vehicle, and thinks about perhaps buying a new one because of his work as a realtor. He approaches the gate.

Suddenly he finds Paula who is standing with two suitcases.

"Good evening, are you the new maid?"

"Yes sir." She respectfully confirms.

"And why are you standing outside?"

"Looks like there's no one inside, sir."

Reginaldo realizes that the house is dark.

Suddenly, he feels the cell phone notification. Reginaldo takes the device from his pants pocket and reads the message.

"LAURA: Honey, I'm going to spend the night at Raquel's. You remember her, right? Her husband left her and she's in pieces."

Reginaldo puts his cell phone in his pocket and looks at the maid, "I'm sorry, but my wife is visiting a friend who is in need."

"I see... My name is Paula, sir."

"Reginaldo Silva. You can call me Reggie."

Paula, ever humble, wiggles in disagreement, "Boss Reggie, it's a pleasure to serve you. I ho
