Chapter 269 Eavesdropping Maid

Reginaldo is in the library, as usual, watching the sales of properties in the Swan building. Paula enters with a tray of juice and toast.

"Sir, I brought you an afternoon snack."

"Thank you very much, Paula. You have been an exemplary maid."

"I always try to do my duty, sir." She sets the tray on the desk.

Reginaldo continues typing with his eyes fixed on the monitor.

"Sir, can we talk?" Paula can't seem to hold back out of curiosity.

"What do you want to talk about, Paula?"

"Yesterday did you bring any whores to fornicate here in the library?"

Reginaldo doesn't think twice: he gets up and slaps the indiscreet maid.

Taken by surprise, Paula has to hold on to the bookcase to keep from falling.

"You can withdraw." Reginaldo grunts and sits back down.

Paula lowers her head and swallows her tears. She hastily withdraws.

After closing the door, Reginaldo punches the desk, knowing perfectly well why the maid asked such nonsense.
