Chapter 278 Here Comes the Driver

Monday, January 03, 2022. The first Monday of the month promises strong emotions in the lives of our characters.

Reginaldo wakes up in the bed of his master suite with his face indicating farewell. He looks wistfully at the space that surrounds him, aware that soon he will no longer be living in this exquisite house.

"It will be a pity after I file for a divorce." He talks in a low, husky voice.

Laura wiggles her body beside him as if she's heard his phrase. Reginaldo looks worried but notices that she is still sleeping.

He gets up carefully and goes naked to the bathroom to shower and brush his teeth.

In the foyer, Paula enters the house with a copy of the key that Laura had previously given to the maid. She has a carry-on bag, back from her family's house.

"Well, back to the toil."

The landline rings and she promptly goes to the receiver to answer it, "Hello?"

On the other side, a lady in her early twenties informs her, "Good morning, am I speaking to Mrs. Silva?"
