Christian furrowed his brow, “What do you mean, Yve?”

“What do I mean? I mean that you and I are parting ways. I’ll take care of all the divorce proceedings. Just wait for that letter to arrive!” Yve said, her voice sharp. “It’s so disgusting to be in a marriage with a man who has another woman.”

She was talking about their marriage. Had they really been in a marriage all this time? Wasn’t it all just a pretense?

Christian remained silent. He didn’t say anything, only staring at Yve’s face.

The man had suspected that this issue would arise when the gossip about his affair with Dorota had spread throughout the city this morning.

Yve then immediately left the CrispCrafter Ltd. company building with a broken heart.

Their marriage had been a sham. But why did Yve feel this much pain?

Could it be that Christian had already captured Yve’s heart?

Christian returned to the sofa, leaning his head back on it and closing his eyes.

His worst fear had become a reality.
