Chapter 416

The sound of gunfire, when victory seemed assured, startled everyone. Even Christian, who felt the blood on his body and face, was shocked by what had happened.

He didn’t feel any pain or anything else except for the liquid that touched his skin and face, which turned out to be blood.

As he turned towards Anika, he immediately panicked because his foster mother was already coughing up blood. And when he looked down, blood was flowing heavily from her back.
