Lyka gazed deeply into Christian’s eyes, then patted her brother-in-law’s arm and said, “Why are you so tense? Relax. Let’s find a place to sit.”

The woman, dressed in a white mini dress, confidently strode through the nightclub, as if she were very familiar with the place. In reality, it was her first time entering the most prestigious venue frequented by conglomerates of various ages.

Christian followed Lyka with an uneasy feeling.

A waiter approached them and directed Lyka and Christian to the VIP area in the nightclub.

Christian couldn’t shake off the unease brought on by his false identity as Lyka’s brother-in-law. He continued to search for the right excuses to deny the truth known to Lyka.

As they settled into a semicircular sofa, Christian turned to Lyka, who was perusing the menu.

“Lyka,” Christian called.

“What’s up?” Lyka asked, her eyes still fixed on the food menu.
