“What’s the big deal if your father’s the mayor? Do you think I’m afraid of you?” Alex asked with wide-open eyes.

“Don’t think just because your father is the mayor, you and I can’t make trouble in his jurisdiction!” Alex continued.

Felipe swallowed hard. He could sense a certain intensity in Alex’s gaze. It could only arise from someone who had befriended violence for decades.

“His jurisdiction? This is my father’s jurisdiction. Who are you, anyway? Are you a bouncer at the Bluemoon Club? My father could shut down this nightclub if I told him to, let alone you,” Felipe said.

Christian picked up a half-full glass of wine and downed it in one gulp.
