Darrell inquired after Valerio returned, eagerly anticipating the information about the two men in black who appeared to be spies.

Valerio took a seat first. “Definitely, they are Ambrose’s men. Whatever they’re planning, it’s not good news, considering Ambrose’s allegiance to Reginald. I’m worried they might harm Jaslene, possibly using her to pressure Demetri into handing over leadership to Reginald.”

Darrell listened intently to Valerio’s words. It made sense and echoed his own concerns. Inviting Jaslene to lunch couldn’t be without some ulterior motive from Ambrose.

“You’re sure they’re Ambrose’s men?” Darrell asked again.

“Absolutely. One of them pointed out Ambrose’s car earlier. It’s parked next to the blue one,” Valerio pointed.

Darrell glanced in the direction Valerio indicated. Indeed, besides the blue car, Ambrose’s car was the only one there. He was convinced now that they were Ambrose’s men and agreed they needed to act swiftly to protect Jaslene.

“Alright then, no doubt
