Chapter 10

David wondered why the system bought the company without informing him earlier. However, he still considered the system to have the right to do whatever it feels like, as long as it benefits him. Then he remembered it would have profited him more if the system had given him the task to buy it himself.

[Young Master! The fact that the system bought the company itself would not hinder your rewards]

The robotic voice clarified, and instantly the system appeared before him.

Ping!

[Congratulations, Reward Granted]

[The Trillionaire System Status]

[Host: David Anderson]

[Age: 25]

[Balance: 5000 coins]

[Strength: Good]

[Skills: Driving]

"No! I can't believe this," David wailed. He massaged his eyes more vigorously and yelled again!

"Dear system, this is becoming unbelievable! How on earth do you want me to believe this? How can you be so generous to reward me this much for a task you carried out yourself?" he bombarded the system with so many questions.

[Young Master! It's the duty of the system to reward you for any completed task]

"Wow! Please, how do I appreciate you?" he asked curiously, after he did the math on his phone and discovered that the 5000 coins he was rewarded are equivalent to $5 billion.

[You have just one duty to appreciate the system, and it's by completing any mission given to you before time runs out. Note that failure to do so will result in Host elimination.]

"Of course, I know," he mumbled, but he was a little bit scared. He thought of why the system never stops mentioning 'Host elimination' despite the generosity.

"I promise to be obedient," he declared again. 'Why would I mess up around the system who has changed my life so fast? When I'm not out of my senses,' he thought to himself.

Then again, he was trying to figure out why the system bought the company for him. He knew he had no knowledge about company management; the course he studied at school was computer science.

Ping!

[New mission unlocked]

[Go to Tutfold PLC to prove yourself as the new owner. You have 24 hours to complete this task; your time starts now!]

"How do I do this?" he asked himself, heaving a sigh.

He knew Tutfold PLC is a very big company. They would never allow someone like him to cross their entrance, let alone going in there to prove he owns the company. They would only see him as someone who mistakenly escaped from a psychiatric hospital.

[Young Master! You have enough money to buy expensive shoes and suits; that should help you look good]

The robotic voice suggested.

"Dear system, thank you for always being there for me," he appreciated the system as he could not think of that earlier.

He grabbed his debit card, slipped it into his pocket. He decided to trek to a nearby Christian Dior store to get some clothes. He decided to trek there since it's nearby, why does he need to go with his car?

On his way, he branched at an ATM stand to withdraw some cash. He got there and withdrew $100,000. The pleasure he felt in his stomach when the machine was dispensing the cash was incomparable.

He remembered the highest amount he had ever withdrawn in his entire life was $5000. But those times are in the past now, he now has enough money in his bank account so he can withdraw any amount he wishes.

He filled his pocket with the notes and then uttered loudly, "I would have at least $20,000 remaining after I buy the clothes." He whistled in ecstasy, feeling so pleased.

He entered the store with so much confidence; the bulk of money in his pocket made him have his full courage.

"Hello," he smiled at the sales girls in the store. Sadly, they were only staring at him as if his appearance was invincible.

He didn't bother much about that, he knew what they were thinking. He never expected them to see him as a big shot either. At the same time, he can't wait to lavish $80,000 on clothes, right in front of them.

"Please, I need some casual clothes and shoes."

The girls exchanged looks at each other and hissed disdainfully after he spoke.

"Please, I need some casual clothes and shoes," one of the girls repeated his sentence mockingly, causing all the girls to laugh loudly.

"I don't have much time for this, are you girls ready for business or not?" David was already getting upset.

"I don't blame you, I blame your eyes. I believe if your eyes were functioning you would have seen how wretched you are before entering a luxurious store like this. I would advise you to go to the local market stores where you buy your cheap clothes," the same salesgirl uttered again.

The other sales girls couldn't hold their laughter; it was even louder than before. David, whose heart was already burning, was thinking of what to do to make the girl regret her words.

The girl looks quite older than the other three girls. It seems she had been working in the store for a very long time, so she knows a customer when she sees one. The fact that she was comfortably insulting David makes the other girls believe David doesn't worth their attention. Well, she's the oldest among them, so whatever she does is what the other girls follow.

"Get out of here!" One of the other three girls shouted at the top of her voice.

David smirked before he muttered, "I wouldn't be here if I didn't have enough money to buy anything here. Enough of the drama, girls, let's get down to business."

The girls still wondered how someone could be so shameless. After all the insults, he still didn't leave the store.

Then the eldest sales girl said, "I know what to do, let's make a bet." David was so happy to hear this, but unknown to her, she was digging her own grave.

"No! I'm not interested," David responded. He wanted to see if she was really up for it.

She walked up to David, about the same height as him. "You must be interested!" She wailed. David wondered what made her so sure that he didn't have enough money to buy anything in their store.

"You must have interest!" she shouted again. The other girls were feeling entertained.

'How could someone be this troublesome?' David thought to himself.

"Okay, I will leave," David declared!

"Never! You are going nowhere," the lady insisted.

David was only trying not to embarrass her in front of her colleagues.

"Okay, I accept," he was ready to give her the embarrassment she requested.

"So what's the bet?" he inquired.

"If you are able to pay for the cheapest shirt in our store, which is $50,000, I will kiss the floor right in front of you. But if you can't, you will kiss the floor in front of me."

"Is that all?" he asked her, knowing she might deny saying that after he purchases it.

"Can you swear with your life that you will kiss the floor in front of me?"

"Yes! I swear with my life," she remarked.

"Wait, why are you giving yourself hope? You know you will be the one to kiss the floor," she laughed derisively.

David grinned because he knew who would be disgraced in the end. The only thing that ran through his mind was that he only withdrew $100,000 and the cheapest shirt cost $50,000. And he was even ready to buy the most expensive items now instead.

"Can I pay with my card?"

"Of course, yes," they all chorused as if it was planned.

"Okay, I'm ready," he announced.

"Yes!!!" The girls shouted in happiness as if it was a show they had expected all their life.

Just then, a stern voice asked from a bit of a distance, "What's going on here?"
