Chapter 7

"This is the way, sir," she led the way, and he followed her. She thought secretly that, it would have been a great regret for her if she had treated the young Master badly.

They headed into an elevator, and they got to the last floor in a few seconds. David was wondering how money changes things so easily. The young, beautiful lady was giving him the utmost special treatment she would give a president of a country.

They walked down to a room, and she unlocked the door. The room screamed so much luxury as everything in the room looked so clean and expensive.

"This room is meant for VVIP's like you, sir" she said with a smile on her face.

"Oh, good," he responded calmly.

Two beautiful ladies entered the room, and the table before him was filled with different types of food.

"In case you might need any other thing, you can give us a call, sir." Sha said pointing at the room telephone.

"Okay, thank you" he replied with a smile.

Soon they all left, and it left him alone in the room. David passed his gaze over the food one after the other, with his tongue salivating.

The aroma of the food had taken over the room and had him recalled what had happened to him few months ago. He remembered how he had fed on leftover foods. Then he realized that truly, when you have a five-minute enjoyment, you would forget your five years of suffering.

He had a tear of the roasted chicken before him, then sipped his strawberry juice. While he was enjoying his meal, he remembered he still had a lot of money left to spend before time runs out.

After he tasted all the meal he was served, his stomach got filled up. He had to leave the rest of the food even though he wish he could eat more. He took a 30 minutes rest for the food to digest, then he headed out.

His head brought a picture of his wife to his heart and he felt so bad. He wondered how his wife stopped caring about him. Since the day she was not allowed into the Huge's company, she never made an attempt to look for him again. However, he still had so much love for her and wished to reach her soon.

Just then, as he was close to the reception, he heard a familiar voice and halted. He listened carefully again and he it was the same voice he heard.

"Diana! What is she doing here?"

He decided to see with his eyes if he was right or the voice only sounded alike, he peered from the corner he stood and saw his wife and a strange man at the reception. The man crossed his hand over Diana's backside.

David felt stabbed in the heart seeing them. He looked closely and discovered that it was Mr. William Blatt. His hate for William doubled instantly. His blood was boiling so hot, it nearly penetrate out of his skin. He clenched his fist and thought of fighting for love.

He had a rethink and buried the thought. With his eyes, he watched his wife and William sharing seductive smiles at each other. They took a turn and entered a room together, almost kissing each other.

David grunted in pain where he stood. He felt betrayed and hurt at the same time. A thought ran through his mind. He thought of barging into the room, even though it would cause him to break the door. After all, he now have enough money to pay for any damages.

Miss. Jessica, who saw David's change in mood from a distance, call for his attention "Mr. David, I believe you enjoyed your meal, sir?"

"Yeah, sure," David retorted instantly to hide his mood at the moment.

"Thank you very much, sir. Our service is at your disposal anytime, sir," a smile made her face look more beautiful.

David was still feeling so bad about the secret that just leaked to him. He never knew maybe it wasn't even a secret anymore, maybe Mrs. Elena had already given her daughter to William in exchange for money.

He walked to Jessica and asked quietly, "The lady and the tall man who entered not too long ago, how long have they been visiting here?"

Jessica was surprised what business the young Master has with the lovers.

"It has been a while, like over a month," she responded just to keep a VVIP customer. She wasn't supposed to disclose such information to a stranger.

David remained silent for some seconds, his eyes had already turned red. Jessica was confused of what's running through his mind, and she couldn't bear to watch their valuable customer upset.

"Hope there's no problem, sir?" she asked politely.

"No, not at all," he faked a smile at her and went out of the hotel, still seething.

He was surprised to see new security officers at the Uppertek hotel this time as he glanced at the hotel.

Then he heard two passersby talking about how the officers got sacked because they ignorantly chased away a multimillionaire who tried to get into the hotel.

"They never allowed him in because they had no knowledge that he disguised himself by dressing like a pauper"

He heard the story, but he was only thinking of what William would be doing with his virgin wife, in there.

Suddenly, he got notified by the system again.

Ping!

[You have 23 hours left to spend the remaining $40 million]

He erased everything about Diana out of his head to focus on his mission. He checked the time on his cracked screen phone, and the time was already 6 PM.

He trekked down to Wilson housing estate since it's not too far from Cicada hotel.

The Wilson estate is the most expensive in the whole Glover city. It will cost you nothing less than millions to own an apartment there.

David got to the showroom with a smile on his face, but he was shocked that the salesgirls were only looking at him like a bag of trash.

"Please, I need your attention," he said, gesturing towards one of the girls. She only gave him a glare that nearly made him wish for the ground to open up and bury him instantly.

"I don't know how someone could be so shameless to embarrass himself in a public place," one of them said, while others laughed.

David knew they were all laughing at him. He shrugged it off, but still lingered around, hoping they would attend to him soon.

He took out his phone to check if he could find another nearby estate, as it was already getting late.

Just as he was about to leave, he heard a soft lady's voice: "Do you need our service, sir?" She was coming from a distance.

"Yes, I need a comfortable apartment," he explained.

The lady led him to the available apartments in the estate, and he found one that he loved very much.

The other salesgirls were gossiping about the girl who had given David attention.

"It seems she lost her sight, if not she wouldn't have allowed such a pauper into the private apartments."

"She doesn't know the difference between a customer and a jerk." They all burst into laughter again.

Shortly after, David and the lady arrived at the showroom, and they overheard their conversation.

They were all shocked when David made a transfer of $30 million dollars instantly for the apartment he had selected.

The other salesgirls were calculating the commission Sandra had just made in just a few minutes.

They almost shed tears. In fact, they nearly shed blood, because Sandra had just made a $3 million commission right in front of them.
