Chapter 84

After Elena was able to escape Patrick's rage, she headed out of the villa and stopped a cab.

"The City Market," she announced as she entered.

Closing the passengers' door and using the seat belt, she accidentally exchanged glances with the cabbie through the rear mirror.

His eyes had a disdainful look. Irritated, Elena shifted her gaze away from the mirror, wondering if the look was actually for her or if he caught sight of something else instead.

"This is none of my business but still my business, anyway. Are you a member of the most cruel family too, or did you just come to visit them?" the cabbie questioned as he kick-started the car engine.

Elena wasn't expecting that he was talking to her, as she was just looking out the window as the vehicle drove off.

Amidst the view, her brain brought the picture of the scene between her and her brother.
