CHAPTER 110: Guilt

Amanda suddenly remembered how she left the office in an hurry and dialed Barry's number.

"I'm sorry I left in a hurry," Amanda said, as he picked up the call.

"I had to urgently attend to something," Amanda added.

"How is he?" Barry said.

It was at that moment that Amanda realized Barry was infact the one behind Lawton's attack.

"How did you know about what happened to Lawton?" Amanda said.

Barry lied about hearing it from one of his friends but Amanda could tell he was not speaking the truth.

"Bye," Amanda said, as she hung up the call.

She had had enough of Barry, she couldn't believe he could attack Lawton again after how she slapped him the last.

Amanda walked into Lawton's hospital room to see Lawton sitting up.

She was happy he was finally able to sit up by himself as she sat beside him on the hospital bed.

Amanda brought out the food she had bought for the both of them and fed some to Lawton.

"Thank you," Lawton said, as he looked at her.

He could tell she was sad as Amanda lo
